Today's Neutral-Toned Wildflower Watercolor Printables are a cousin to yesterday's designs...but in more muted colors. This has been a popular reader request for some time and I'm sorry it took me a bit to oblige. But, for all of you muted-color palette friends, these free wildflower watercolor printables are just for you!

If you come around here often, you probably know I'm a fan of brighter and louder colors (you can see my home in a lot of my Instagram pictures to get an idea of the bold hues I use). And while I often do a lot of these designs in the realm of my own colors, I know that we all have different tastes. And for a couple of weeks now, I've had a number of you reach out and request more muted colors on printables...especially after yesterday's Watercolor Prints and last week's new style of Watercolor Photography. Today's new watercolor wildflowers are a free set of printables that can be displayed together or each on their own. Our lovely springtime Texas wildflowers were the inspiration behind these designs. They're a fun way to bring a bit of the outdoors inside (sans allergies, of course!).

These wordless little printable posters are full of the sweetest watercolor wildflowers that are perfect for your spring and summer decor...or anytime, really, if you're a sucker for wildflowers (and who isn't, right?). I used a few small graphic tricks to create an *almost* mirror image design. But in the end, I felt they needed a tiny bit more creativity, so they're slightly different from one another in floral placement and such. You can download either design, or both, below.

Today's free designs are a bit different than usual...they are watercolor botanical prints (free ones) that I created from a small plant vignette in our sunroom. This is sort of a trial run to see how this type of printable goes over. I'm really excited about it, but certainly welcome your feedback. 

I've been thinking about creating watercolor printables of vignettes in my sunroom for a bit. Actually, this idea took shape last summer when my flower garden was in full bloom. I started toying with these types of designs using images taken of the flowers I had grown. I would like to do a series of these this summer since my garden should be about 80% flowers this year (15% herbs and 5% green beans...ha!). But, today's trial run is a small vignette that I put together in my sunroom. I hope you enjoy this.

Every year, one of my New Year's resolutions is to be better about old-fashioned correspondence. When my mother passed away, one of the most meaningful things from that time period was a hand written letter from a friend I hadn't seen in a while. It was just kind and sweet and uplifting, as well. It wasn't on a formal sympathy card or anything, but rather her stationery. And yet, it meant the world to me. That act has actually been the inspiration I needed to be better at correspondence. Every summer I get on a major reading kick. My schedule during these months seems to facilitate that a bit better.
