When I was a kid, I actually had pet rabbits. One was named Lopsey and looked very similar to the little friend in today's free printable Easter Bunny in a Basket. Lopsey and I entered the pet parade in Austin's Livestock Show and Rodeo and won first place in the mid-eighties. My dad had engineered my wagon to be able to tow her up and down Congress Avenue in the big event (in her adorably decorated cage). Because Lopsey was an Easter Basket bunny herself (well, in a manner of speaking...there was a photo of her in the basket with details of her cage's whereabouts), I couldn't help but create this printable today, with her resemblance. This particular portion of the popular prayer of St. Francis is one of my favorite phrases to dwell on. Sometimes, when my thoughts are tangled and I don't have the words to pray, I'll say this over and over. I hope the words on this free St. Francis Prayer Printable are as much a blessing to you as they are to me. 

Growing up, I heard the prayer of St. Francis often. My mother had it framed by her bedside and it was a staple in our home. While I only included a small portion of the longer version, this particular line tugs at my heart strings. There is also a beautiful hymn that has these words and we sang it at both of my parents' funerals. I believe that my parents were both people who sought out to be instruments of peace for the Lord. I created this now, since many churches recently celebrated the feast of St. Francis. But, no matter if your church celebrates this or not, this particular prayer is such a lovely one.

Last week, I got to thinking, "goodness, I really need a vintage patriotic truck printable on the blog". It made me wonder why I hadn't already created one. So, I got down to business creating this design for today. After the design was complete and I was working on some behind-the-scenes stuff for the post, I stumbled upon another patriotic truck printable from two years ago...I had completely forgotten about it (and I even sent it out in a fourth of July round up earlier this month!). So, this theme isn't unique to I Should Be Mopping the Floor. But, today's design has a completely different feeling and vibe to it, so it's not too big of a deal! Three Cheers for the Red, White, and Blue is actually a song title...but I think the phrase itself embodies so much patriotism and fanfare. I created today's printables with that fanfare and love for country in mind. There are two sizes and two formats available below.

I don't display a lot of printables in my home with wording...one or two, but I've kept it to a minimum. However, I think the fourth of July is a holiday that kind of lends itself to a word-filled print or two. I specifically designed this one to go on my summer mantel. I do have to laugh when I picture my parents' wisteria-covered gate at their home in Marble Falls, Texas. It was truly breath-taking, but (apparently) at a cost. When I would prattle on about its prettiness, I would get a stern warning from my mother: "Don't ever plant Wisteria. Not only will it take over your garden, it will take over your life." My mom always donned her sharpest shears to deal with the wisteria every spring...kicking herself for having planted it all those years before.
