Calling all Rae Dunn junkies! I've rounded up the best Rae Dunn pieces on Amazon to make acquiring your favorites a bit easier. Because we can't all stalk Homegoods every morning when they open (since they sell out within minutes!).

I first fell in LOVE with Rae Dunn pieces over on Instagram. Seriously, if you have a minute, be sure to check out the #RaeDunn and #MondayDunnYet hashtags over on Instagram...they're full of soooo much eye candy! I started acquiring a few pieces here and there, but this stuff is a hot commodity. Homegoods is usually the best place to find it, but it's gotten to where it is gone as soon as they put it out. Kind of tough when you don't even have a Homegoods in your city. TJ Maxx and Marshalls sometimes have a few things, too, but also sell out lickety split. So what's a collector to do? Well, I tell ya...I took to searching Amazon and found some really great pieces. Granted, they're just a bit pricier than the discount stores, but a lot of them are straight from Rae Dunn (wha?!?). So, I rounded up some of my faves over there for you to shop through, too. 

But, if I do see you at Homegoods, I may be the one throwing elbows for a mug. ;)

I'm super excited about this tutorial today, y'all. I made two of these Drop Cloth Envelope Pillow Covers and can't wait to make a few more (I have big plans for some holiday ones, too). Check out the entire process below...it's very simple to duplicate.

The beauty of an envelope pillow cover is that it doesn't have to be sewn closed by hand...and it's easy to take it on and off of the pillow form for washing. I actually didn't even use a pillow form for mine...I used old throw pillows that I had on hand already. These are perfect for changing out the look of your decor seasonally. Using a drop cloth for the fabric makes them quite budget-friendly, too. Check them out below.

I know I may catch a little heck for skipping Halloween prints and going straight to Thanksgiving. But honestly, (and...don't be mad), I'm not a big Halloween person. I've decorated on the blog for it before, but this year, I decided to just stick with what I really want to do. To simplify, I just decorated for fall, in general, this year.

This Refrigerator Breakfast Bin is a great way to make sure my family gets fed in the busy mornings before everyone heads their own separate ways. Keeping it well stocked and front and center is a must.

Sometimes, a good breakfast can be hard to come by. If I can do a little pre-planning, our situation in the morning isn't nearly as bleak as it has been on some previous days. Vintage Fall Home Tour

Forgive the earliness, but today, I'm sharing my Vintage Fall Home Tour.

The house was clean from top to bottom, so I pulled out the pumpkins...as well as the camera to capture it all. Bada bing, bada boom. Grab a PSL and stay awhile. 

It's been really fun decorating our new (to us) home for fall. I did have a rule...no new fall decor purchases. I *almost* stuck to it, but did find some good deals here and there that I just couldn't pass up (thanks a lot, TJ Maxx). But, I also kept it fairly simple, as well. I may add a few more things as we get closer to Thanksgiving, but for the most part...welcome to our Vintage Fall Home Tour.

1970s Living Room Makeover

Today, I'm sharing our complete 1970s Living Room Makeover.

This is now my favorite room. It's a bit eclectic and funky...and totally us. 

And yes, we're bringing popcorn ceilings back. Boom. 

This room sat empty after we moved in. We were trying to be super cautious with the budget since, at the time, we still owned our previous home (it's sold now...AMEN!). It was super awkward for a bit...this big, empty, main room that connected the house (bedrooms on one side of it, kitchen and tv room on the other side). It was the first room you walked into from the front door...and it was empty. At night, I'd walk through its darkness on the way to bed and I was a bit sad. I knew one day that it would be a special place...it just took a little patience. Prior to moving in, this room also gave me a few minor heart attacks with all its issues. I've got some fun garage organization tips and ideas today. 

Our garage went from gross to great in a weekend. 

It's such a nice place to come home to now.

The garage, well, at least in our house, is the final frontier. You know what I mean, right? Every other room in the house gets prettified before the garage...it's always the last on the list since it's not as much of a heavy traffic zone. Since we moved in here in March, the garage has become a catch-all. It was where empty boxes landed...furniture with no home...drop cloths, tools, and everything else ended up in the garage. It was beginning to be a hot mess, y'all. 

But back to the heavy traffic thing...this house is different. It's set back from the road a bit and the garage is on the side toward the backyard. And the driveway is long and winding. So, guess where all of our friends come in? The garage. It's easy for folks to park in the driveway since it is so long. Most people enter our house through the garage and it's probably never going to change (back door guests are best, right?).

However, when your garage is an absolute disaster, having all of those people trotting through it on a regular basis is, well, mortifying.

Y'all...we just got home from Meet the Teacher at middle school. My laundry room shelves started out as brand new 1x10 boards...and then I made them look funky and old to blend in with our vintage decor. I'm sharing the entire process below. I think yellow may be my new color over here in the new (old) house. I still love my aqua and red, but this fun yellow color seems to be popping up errrrr'where in this place. Of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone here. Of course. I had to make that yellow a little less new-looking to fit in with my personal style. This painting technique isn't hard...it just involves lots of layering and several colors.

 I love this time of the year. Well...almost. It's still brutally hot here in Texas. But...in just a few short weeks, the heat will gently fade into the loveliness that is autumn. And in our part of the world...that is some serious sweet relief. But, as I get to the point where I start hating summer, there are also attributes of it I love (the schedule, obvi). Yay for another installment of the Thrifty Style Team...I get so inspired every month when we do this. This time, I created a banner with some vintage BINGO cards that I've had for well over a year from a junkin' trip in spring of 2015. I had gone with a friend to a vintage market and stumbled onto these under a random tent in a field. The lady was practically throwing these BINGO cards at me to try to get rid of them. I happily took them off her hands. I used some scrap fabric and twine and now have a fun little decoration for my office. Check out this quick project as well as my friends' projects below.
