Free Candy Corn Halloween Printable

This Free Candy Corn Halloween printable is one of my favorites, yet. Because anything in a mason jar totally has my heart, y'all. Especially if it's sweet.

Free Candy Corn Halloween Printable | 8x10 Mason Jar and Candy Corn Print | Instant Download
Okay, so I went a little overboard with not doing much for Halloween on the bliggity blog here. So much so that I'm hoping to make up for it with the sweetest printable around.

A little watercolor, a little mason jar...and a lot of candy corn.

The Best Rae Dunn Pieces on Amazon

Calling all Rae Dunn junkies! I've rounded up the best Rae Dunn pieces on Amazon to make acquiring your favorites a bit easier. Because we can't all stalk Homegoods every morning when they open (since they sell out within minutes!).

Rae Dunn Pieces on Amazon | Having a hard time getting your hands on Rae Dunn clay pieces? This guide will help you find your faves right on Amazon!

Rae Dunn Pieces on Amazon | Having a hard time getting your hands on Rae Dunn clay pieces? This guide will help you find your faves right on Amazon!
I first fell in LOVE with Rae Dunn pieces over on Instagram. Seriously, if you have a minute, be sure to check out the #RaeDunn and #MondayDunnYet hashtags over on Instagram...they're full of soooo much eye candy! I started acquiring a few pieces here and there, but this stuff is a hot commodity. Homegoods is usually the best place to find it, but it's gotten to where it is gone as soon as they put it out. Kind of tough when you don't even have a Homegoods in your city. TJ Maxx and Marshalls sometimes have a few things, too, but also sell out lickety split. So what's a collector to do? Well, I tell ya...I took to searching Amazon and found some really great pieces. Granted, they're just a bit pricier than the discount stores, but a lot of them are straight from Rae Dunn (wha?!?). So, I rounded up some of my faves over there for you to shop through, too.
But, if I do see you at Homegoods, I may be the one throwing elbows for a mug. ;)

How to Make a Drop Cloth Envelope Pillow Cover

This shop and tutorial for a Drop Cloth Envelope Pillow Cover has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.

I'm super excited about this tutorial today, y'all. I made two of these Drop Cloth Envelope Pillow Covers and can't wait to make a few more (I have big plans for some holiday ones, too). Check out the entire process below...it's very simple to duplicate.

How to Make a Drop Cloth Envelope Pillow Cover | Simple beginning sewing project with step-by-step photo tutorial. These pillow covers are perfect to give ordinary pillows a festive look for the holidays.
The beauty of an envelope pillow cover is that it doesn't have to be sewn closed by hand...and it's easy to take it on and off of the pillow form for washing. I actually didn't even use a pillow form for mine...I used old throw pillows that I had on hand already. These are perfect for changing out the look of your decor seasonally. Using a drop cloth for the fabric makes them quite budget-friendly, too. Check them out below.

Inspiration Monday

Hey, friends! Hope you're having a good weekend, where ever you are! It rained for like five minutes yesterday...so I'm hoping that means cooler temps are on their way to Texas soon. This whole 97 degrees at the end of September is just not any fun any more.

Glad you're back to party with us!
Don't forget that we continue this party over on Instagram tomorrow!

Wanted to make sure you were all aware of my once-a-week free newsletter, too! I send it out Saturday mornings. AND, there's an exclusive free printable every week for subscribers only. You also have access to this entire gallery of freebies (pictured above) that are only for subscribers.

Free Thanksgiving Printable

This free Thanksgiving printable is actually a good one to display the entire season long.
It's just a lil' reminder of what our hearts should be full of...really, every season.

Free Thanksgiving Printable | This free (instant download) 8x10 printable is perfect for all season long.
I know I may catch a little heck for skipping Halloween prints and going straight to Thanksgiving. But honestly, (and...don't be mad), I'm not a big Halloween person. I've decorated on the blog for it before, but this year, I decided to just stick with what I really want to do. To simplify, I just decorated for fall, in general, this year.

And letmetellya...it's ridiculously liberating, y'all. I actually get to enjoy it for a while before having to switch it up again. You can check out my fall home tour here. And then click below to download this fun free fall printable for your own decor.

This Refrigerator Breakfast Bin is a great way to make sure my family gets fed in the busy mornings before everyone heads their own separate ways. Keeping it well stocked and front and center is a must.

Refrigerator Breakfast Bin | Put together a "grab-n-go" breakfast box in your refrigerator so your family can help themselves to breakfast items on the hectic mornings.
The weekday breakfast hour can be a daunting one, y'all. We're all trying to get here, there, and yonder...grab backpacks, lunch boxes, homework, and look like we didn't just roll right out of bed. Sometimes, a good breakfast can be hard to come by. If I can do a little pre-planning, our situation in the morning isn't nearly as bleak as it has been on some previous days. This breakfast bin is proving to be a life-saver.

Not only is this bin helping me make sure that my own kids get a good breakfast every morning, several of the items in it are a part of a special cause right now to make sure other kiddos get fed as well!

Inspiration Monday

Hi, party friends! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend wherever you are. I just got back from a blogger conference in Arizona...it was so much fun, but I'm pooped!

I have borrowed these photos of one of my good friends, Jennifer, from Jennifer Cooks (we actually knew each other before the blogging days, y'all!). It was great to travel with a friend. I also met so many bloggers that I've loved forever (some of YOU!). What a lovely time. Be sure to check out the Blended Conference and join the fun next year!

DIY Vintage Football Sign

Today’s post is brought to you by Bounty.
I’m a member of the #QuickerPickerUpper team. All opinions are mine alone.

This DIY Football Sign was a fun craft to work on…just in time for football season.
This is perfect for kids’ room decor, locker rooms, or at your football party.

DIY Vintage Football Sign : Fun painting technique to create this fun sports artwork for any room!
I wanted to make a nice, neutral sign that could be used all throughout football season…a black and white one fit the bill perfectly. It can be out on display at a pizza party before the local high school game or even used as decor in one of my kiddo’s rooms. Check out how simple it was to put together below.

DIY Hot Cider Sign

This DIY Hot Cider Sign was made from some three dollar thrift store art, y'all!
I gave it a little paint treatment and am sharing the tutorial below.

I *think* I'm turning into a sign junkie, y'all. My parents were over here recently and my mom complained that there were just too many things to read on the walls. So, you know, it seemed totally appropriate to add to our plethora of wall reading material by throwing in another sign. For good measure, no?

Vintage Fall Home Tour

Forgive the earliness, but today, I'm sharing my Vintage Fall Home Tour.
The house was clean from top to bottom, so I pulled out the pumpkins...as well as the camera to capture it all. Bada bing, bada boom. Grab a PSL and stay awhile.

It's been really fun decorating our new (to us) home for fall. I did have a rule...no new fall decor purchases. I *almost* stuck to it, but did find some good deals here and there that I just couldn't pass up (thanks a lot, TJ Maxx). But, I also kept it fairly simple, as well. I may add a few more things as we get closer to Thanksgiving, but for the most part...welcome to our Vintage Fall Home Tour.

How to Reset the House for Back-to-School

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.
All opinions are mine alone. #FallIntoClean #CollectiveBias

After a summer with all of my family at home with me, our house always needs a major reset as we head into the school year and fall months. Check out all of my tips to reset your own space.

While I adore summer, it can wreak havoc on my home. Mid-June, I start noticing that it just doesn’t stay as clean as long as it does during the school year. With my boys home all day, every day (and my husband, who is a principal, home a lot more, too), we just have more dirt and clutter in and out of the house. As the fall approaches, it feels great to do a big ol’ reset and get everything organized and back in order for the year so we start off on a good foot. I love to use Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® products to help me get the place back in shape. Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® believes that your home is what you make it. That’s why they make Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day® for all the beautiful things you grow in your home.

1970s Living Room Makeover

Today, I'm sharing our complete 1970s Living Room Makeover.
This is now my favorite room. It's a bit eclectic and funky...and totally us.
And yes, we're bringing popcorn ceilings back. Boom.

1970s Living Room Makeover | See the transformation of this fun space in a quirky 1970 fixer upper.
This room sat empty after we moved in. We were trying to be super cautious with the budget since, at the time, we still owned our previous home (it's sold now...AMEN!). It was super awkward for a bit...this big, empty, main room that connected the house (bedrooms on one side of it, kitchen and tv room on the other side). It was the first room you walked into from the front door...and it was empty. At night, I'd walk through its darkness on the way to bed and I was a bit sad. I knew one day that it would be a special place...it just took a little patience. Prior to moving in, this room also gave me a few minor heart attacks with all its issues. Check out its story below.

Garage Organization Tips and Ideas

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.
All opinions are mine alone. #GarageCleanUp #CollectiveBias

I've got some fun garage organization tips and ideas today.
Our garage went from gross to great in a weekend.
It's such a nice place to come home to now.

Garage Organization Tips and Ideas | Tackle your messiest space in one weekend with these ideas.
The garage, well, at least in our house, is the final frontier. You know what I mean, right? Every other room in the house gets prettified before the garage...it's always the last on the list since it's not as much of a heavy traffic zone. Since we moved in here in March, the garage has become a catch-all. It was where empty boxes landed...furniture with no home...drop cloths, tools, and everything else ended up in the garage. It was beginning to be a hot mess, y'all.

But back to the heavy traffic thing...this house is different. It's set back from the road a bit and the garage is on the side toward the backyard. And the driveway is long and winding. So, guess where all of our friends come in? The garage. It's easy for folks to park in the driveway since it is so long. Most people enter our house through the garage and it's probably never going to change (back door guests are best, right?).

However, when your garage is an absolute disaster, having all of those people trotting through it on a regular basis is, well, mortifying.

Inspiration Monday

Hey there, party friends! Welcome back. Hope you're doing well. It's been a wet weekend here in Texas, but I'll take it. My kids start school tomorrow, but this mom isn't totally ready (one's starting middle school, y'all...YIKES!). I'm not completely sure I can mentally handle all of this...but hey, ready or not, right? Hoping you have a wonderful week, too!

Y'all...we just got home from Meet the Teacher at middle school. Middle school...where half of the kids are as tall as me, the boys have facial hair, and suddenly I'm missing crayons and blocks and all of those sweet little things of childhood. We're in the preteen zone of life. And I'm not even sure how we arrived here so quickly. But, we're up to the challenge...errr, fun.

Layering Paint for a Vintage Finish

  1. I've got tips and tricks for Layering Paint for a Vintage Finish. My laundry room shelves started out as brand new 1x10 boards...and then I made them look funky and old to blend in with our vintage decor. I'm sharing the entire process below. Layering Paint for a Vintage Finish: using several different colors of paint and a wax puck for a very vintage look.I think yellow may be my new color over here in the new (old) house. I still love my aqua and red, but this fun yellow color seems to be popping up errrrr'where in this place. Of course, I couldn't leave well enough alone here. Of course. I had to make that yellow a little less new-looking to fit in with my personal style. This painting technique isn't hard...it just involves lots of layering and several colors.

Inspiration Monday

Hey, friends!! Hope you're doing well. Welcome back to the weekly party. We've got just one little week of summer left before school starts here in Texas. We're going to make the most of it and go out with a bang! Hope you enjoy the end of summer, as well. Ecclesiastes 3:1 Free Printable

This Ecclesiastes 3:1 Free Printable is the perfect addition to any decor.
It's one of my absolute favorite verses...and comes to mind when we're about to change seasons.

I love this time of the year. Well...almost. It's still brutally hot here in Texas. But...in just a few short weeks, the heat will gently fade into the loveliness that is autumn. And in our part of the world...that is some serious sweet relief. But, as I get to the point where I start hating summer, there are also attributes of it I love (the schedule, obvi). And every season has its own set of awesomeness. To everything, there is a season.

Vintage BINGO Card Banner

I'm sharing this fun and simple vintage BINGO card banner for this month's installment of the Thrifty Style Team. So happy to finally do something fun with this thrifty collection that I've had for a while.
This Vintage BINGO Card Banner is a fun way to add a touch of retro to any space. See how easy it was to put together.
Yay for another installment of the Thrifty Style Team...I get so inspired every month when we do this. This time, I created a banner with some vintage BINGO cards that I've had for well over a year from a junkin' trip in spring of 2015. I had gone with a friend to a vintage market and stumbled onto these under a random tent in a field. The lady was practically throwing these BINGO cards at me to try to get rid of them. I happily took them off her hands. I used some scrap fabric and twine and now have a fun little decoration for my office. Check out this quick project as well as my friends' projects below.

We've been working really hard to get our little mudroom (or, mud "hallway") in order before school starts. I'm super happy with how this came together...the sentiment means a lot to our family, too.
