Vintage Fall Home Tour

Forgive the earliness, but today, I'm sharing my Vintage Fall Home Tour.
The house was clean from top to bottom, so I pulled out the pumpkins...as well as the camera to capture it all. Bada bing, bada boom. Grab a PSL and stay awhile.

It's been really fun decorating our new (to us) home for fall. I did have a rule...no new fall decor purchases. I *almost* stuck to it, but did find some good deals here and there that I just couldn't pass up (thanks a lot, TJ Maxx). But, I also kept it fairly simple, as well. I may add a few more things as we get closer to Thanksgiving, but for the most part...welcome to our Vintage Fall Home Tour.

The entryway is super simple. I added some of my burlap pumpkins to the table on the bottom. I do love the mirror I have in here. It was my great grandmother's from her vanity. The rest of the vanity pretty much came a part on us, but I salvaged the mirror and repainted it.

To the left of the entry way, we have our "piano room", as we call it. It's actually a fairly sparse room, but the piano is in there...so the name stuck. Put a couple of simple pumpkins and a candle on the corner of the piano on some old church song books.

We moved the fake fireplace we have had for 12 years into here when we moved in. I kind of liked how it looked, so it stayed put. I lined it with my pumpkins that I bought at Dollar Tree several years ago. For cheap pumpkins, these have held up remarkably.

On the other side of the entry way is the dining room. I lugged my big chalkboard in here after missing it terribly (it hadn't been put out since we moved in in the spring). Just a simple little fall sentiment.

I did buy these this year (oops!). But, they were at one of the discount stores and I couldn't pass them up. They hold tea lights...I think they'll be perfect for Thanksgiving dinner. I do toggle with the idea of painting them my aqua blue and roughing them up a bit...just to get them to blend in with my decor a bit better. That, and I have aqua linen napkins that I use at this table...I think it may tie it all together.

The entryway kind of dumps off into the living room. I shared its big reveal last week here. But, I have several little fall touches in here, too.

My GIVE THANKS sign that I painted in this tutorial from 2013 is on the built-ins.

For some reason, this is always my favorite little pumpkin. I've had it since college. Truthfully, I think my college roomie bought it and then it somehow ended up in my pile. It just reminds me of those fun days.

On the mantel, I did cotton bolls and white and gold pumpkins.
I layered them on top of my aqua frames that I've had for several years now.

Can't wait for it to be cool enough to actually have a fire.

Over in the breakfast area, I kept the built-in hutch pretty minimal. I have a ton of Christmas dishes from my mom that I'll be adding after Thanksgiving. I wanted a bit longer to enjoy the jadeite in here. I did add the ceramic pumpkin on the table to the basket...it's another fave.

Used my 'Happy Fall, Y'all' plate over here on the hutch.

The kitchen is pretty simple, too.
The pumpkins on the fridge in the old bread box are a bit fun...and messy (ha!).

I added another sparkly pumpkin to my scale, too.

It's nestled in a bunch of our Topo Chico bottle caps for filler.
I bought this scale last year on Amazon here (affiliate).

I kept the coffee bar fairly simple, too. I honestly think we're still just enjoying the work we put into this place...not ready to add a bunch of extra decor quite yet (I'm sure I'll be over that by Christmas, though)!

Chloe says, "Thanks a heap for stopping by! Happy fall, y'all!"

  4. Your home is beautiful with just the right amount of fall sprinkled in. I love the tray on your coffee table - did you make it?
My vote is not to paint the new metal pumpkins because they add in some contrast.
    I really enjoyed the tour!
