About a year ago, I was knee-deep in designing organizational printables for my book (including a to do list or ten!). As stated in the contract with my publisher, I had a 12-month period where I could not design any organizational prints outside of the book (that was torture, y'all!). Now that my book and the contractual agreement regarding the prints are both finished up, I am super excited to be designing free organizational printables here on the blog again. Not going to lie...organizational prints are (literally) my bread and butter for the first part of the new year (I had to get a bit creative last year). And a good to do list is always fun to design...I'm delighted to be back in my wheelhouse, designing what I love the most.

The farmhouse look is so fun...it's something I've enjoyed for quite sometime. This sign adds that perfect little farmhouse touch to any space, especially a kitchen or dining area. The original project came from my friend, Liz's, A Touch of Farmhouse Charm book. It's chocked full of so many simple-to-complete, yet show-stopping, projects! Guest Bathroom Makeover with Holiday Touches

We gave our 1970s guest bathroom a makeover...and added in some simple holiday touches, seasonal toiletries, and special scents throughout. Check it all out below.

It's funny...since we've owned this house for the last nine months, I feel like we've had more overnight guests than we ever did in our previous home (which we were in for several years). Something about having an actual guest bedroom and bathroom is probably a bit more appealing to family and friends, right? In our previous place, guests slept on our sons' Star Wars sheets in their room while the boys bunked with us. They also shared a bathroom with our kids. To say space was tight was not an exaggeration. I had always dreamt of a home where guests could have their own space and not feel like they were in the midst of our craziness...it was a complete bonus that this out-of-the-way guest bedroom came with its own bathroom, too. This is the first of our bathrooms (besides our half bath) to be taken out of its 1970s glory and into something that better fits our tastes. We didn't break the budget either...just a few cosmetic fixes, loads of fluffy white towels, and the most amazing natural soaps, scrubs, and lotions from a delightful small business that our guests can enjoy 'til their hearts' content. Christmas Home Tour

I think I have more photos in this post than any other...but I just love Christmas decor.

We first toured this home exactly a year ago. It had been vacant for four years. Since it was the holiday season, all I could envision was how I would decorate it for the Christmas season. We hadn't even put an offer on this place and I was mentally decorating trees and hanging garland...I just loved this house (even in all its 1970 glory). So, a year later and I'm so happy with how it looks in all its Christmas glory. I have really loved decking these halls.

About a year and a half ago I received my first email from Page Street Publishing. They were wanting to visit with me about an entirely new concept for a book surrounding the craze of printables. I hopped on a conference call a few days later...and the rest, as they say, is history.

I was honored and overwhelmed. I signed a contract and thus started a whirlwind of EVERYTHING you can imagine. My due date for my manuscript was last January. A month before that, we got the brilliant idea to purchase a new home and move. I have to say...between December and February of that time period, I was a bit of a wreck, y'all. Living on coffee and crazy, we somehow foraged through it all. There were points of time where I wanted to just give up...but I'm so ridiculously happy that I didn't.
