Ahhh...spring is definitely in the air! My house is about ready to welcome it with open arms...and my table is totally ready for Easter brunch, as well. I put together this Easter Tablescape on a Budget with loads of goodies from the 99 Cents Only store. I've also included the free printable bunny placecards for you to use, too.

I truly love Easter...a time of complete renewal. We love celebrating Easter with friends and family over a traditional brunch. Ham, biscuits, and a festive Easter tablescape are all a part of my springtime love language. But why break the budget, y'all? I honestly had been wanting to do a vintage truck design for spring (similar to the one I did for newsletter subscribers during the holidays with the VW Bug and Christmas tree). But, I couldn't get flowers to lay correctly in the bed of the truck in the design...it looked like the truck was actually growing the flowers. While that was interesting and all...it just looked totally wrong. And then a Vespa came to mind! It's like the perfect little spring scenario, right?

How to Make Yarn Pom Poms

I'm sharing how to make yarn pom poms with just a fork and a clothespin (you'll need scissors and a tiny bit of patience, as well). This is a fun project that kids can help with, too...and pom poms are crazy addictive to make! Ahhhh, pom poms. These are one of the yarn crafts of my youth that still make me smile. I shared on my Instagram this past weekend that we worked on both finger knitting (remember finger knitting?) and yarn pom poms all weekend. My youngest had so much fun with all of it. 

While, the traditional method of pom pom making involves using 3-4 fingers wrapped up in yarn...it also tends to cut off my circulation. While purple finger tips are fun and all, I recently discovered this fork method and then put my own spin on it by adding in a clothespin for added security. These Easy Envelope Pillow Covers are my go to for alllllll of my pillows. I cover old pillows, new pillows, and even make seasonal pillows with these covers. I personally love to use drop cloths to make these ridiculously cheap. But this simple pattern works with any fabric. I also have a sizing chart as well to make it easier for ya!

I went a little out of the box with this DIY Wax Paper Valentine's Banner, but I'm super happy with the way it came out. I did use the sewing machine for mine, but if you're from the no-sew camp, you can totally use glue. Check out the tutorial below.

This living room of ours has been a weird challenge...but I totally did it to myself. I wanted to keep just cooler-toned colors in here, so it's my one room I don't use any red in. That presents a bit of a challenge for both Christmas and Valentine's decor. To keep it fairly neutral, I tend to gravitate to whites. This wax paper Valentine's banner works well for the space, though...it started out as something else, but I'm really happy with the end result.

DIY Letter Board

So, I've been wanting a letter board forevvvvvvvver. But, you guys, I just can't see paying $100 for these. I'm not doubting that they're worth every penny that the larger companies sell these for...but yowza. I've also been seeing these pop up on Pinterest as DIY projects and thought I would try my hand. Mine is actually totally different than others I've seen...most create a built-in grid system where the felt is draped into the holes and pulled taught. But, I wanted something simpler and easier to create. This does have the simplicity (and budget) factor, but I do think I will try other methods in the future, as well, just to see how they work out.
