This post for a Julian of Norwich quote printable contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

I'm not sure if you're familiar with this beautiful Julian of Norwich quote, but it's such a meaningful one to me. She wrote it during some of the darkest and most isolated days of her life...referring to God and all that was to come. I thought it would be perfect for the first *official* spring print of this year. I hope you enjoy this one.

Julian of Norwich Quote
And all shall be well.
And all shall be well.
And all manner of things shall be exceedingly well.

Julian of Norwich Quote Printable

Julian of Norwich
As we're preparing in our church to head into the Lenten season next week, this Julian of Norwich quote seems quite fitting. It's full of hope and promise.

I came across it recently in a rather random way. I'm somewhat familiar with a lot of Julian of Norwich's writings and teachings, but this quote popped up in a fictional book. I am rereading my way through the entire Inspector Armand Gamache series by Louise Penny. I loved it the first time, and now that a new series is out (inspired by the books), I wanted to reread them all.

In book #13 , Glass Houses, three of my favorite characters are discussing this particular Julian of Norwich quote in depth. It got me really wanting to dig a bit deeper on it. I found out that Julian wrote this during the Black Death, when she was ill and isolated. She actually lived most of her life in isolation, but this particular part of it really spoke to me.

I think this quote is relevant in so many circumstances.

There are a number of versions of this quote...and the translation seems to jump around a bit (it was written in the 1500s and probably translated umpteen times). But, for this sake of this printable, I really like the version that includes the word exceedingly

I thought it was the perfect quote for an early spring printable...full of watercolor florals!

  1. I am not sure if you meant to have the printable say exceeding or exceedingly. As it says exceeding.
