5 Free Fall Wallpaper Photos

This post for Free Fall Wallpaper Photos contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Affiliate, I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

The same photos that many of you framed for your home are now available in a lower resolution for your computers, tablets, and phones. These free fall wallpaper photos are full of the prettiest pumpkins and autumn vibes. They also provide a bit of a neutral(ish) backdrop to your most used devices...while still giving them a bit of seasonal flair. You can download all five of these free fall wallpaper photos below.

Free Fall Wallpaper
After I posted all of my free pumpkin photos earlier this month, I had a few requests for the images to be made ready for devices. Since I originally shared them in high resolutions (for printing purposes), it would be tough on your device to have to load a larger image like that. So, I made the five most popular downloads from that post into today's free fall wallpaper photos (in lower resolutions that are device-friendly and sized perfectly).

Not sure why I didn't think of it on my own, but you guys are right...these photos do make lovely little back drops on computers and such. Because of their different orientations and such, not all are available for all devices. Some just worked well for desktops, others just for tablets and phones, and well, one did work both ways. I have them laid out later in this post, so you can see which images go with which device.

Downloading onto an iPad or iPhone

Earlier this year, I started a monthly free desktop wallpaper series. I had several requests throughout the series for downloading instructions specifically for iPads and iPhones. Listed out below are my own simple tips for doing just that. My 12-year-old calls this a very "unofficial" way to do this...he is actually my IT around these parts (I wish I were kidding, but he's a lot more technologically savvy than I am).

  • Before starting the process on your device, download the device's wallpaper photo onto your actual computer (download links are available below).
  • Email the file you downloaded on your computer to yourself, (I have gmail and it allows me to email to the same address I'm sending from).
    • If you'd rather skip the whole emailing yourself process, you'll need to download the Dropbox app on your device that you want your design on (I provide all of the download links for these wallpaper photos within Dropbox for this reason). I send readers to a tutorial on this Dropbox downloading method here on the iDownload Blog
    • Again, if you'd like to avoid that, just email yourself the image from your computer and open that email on your phone. Then, follow the below steps (listed out under the following images).
How to Download on an iPad
  • On your device, open the email you sent yourself (with the wallpaper photo attachment) on your device's mail app. At the bottom of your email, it should say "Tap to Download". Go ahead and do just that.
  • Tap the image that you downloaded within your email (it should appear at the bottom of the email). The above image (on the left) is what you should see. Tap the square box outline with the upward arrow in the bottom left corner of your screen (pictured in the above left image).
  • After you've tapped that box, the screen pictured above right should appear for you. Scroll down just a bit and tap 'Save Image'. Your image should now be saved to your device.
  • Go to your HOME screen on your iPhone. Then, head to Settings>Wallpaper>Choose a New Wallpaper.
  • On my own phone, my images automatically save to my Camera Roll (I *think* this is the default on most iOS device). I then select Camera Roll and then I locate the wallpaper that I just downloaded. If your device saves elsewhere, you'll need to search that spot for the download, instead.
  • Feel free to set this photo to your lock screen, your home screen, or go a little wild and do both. It'll be a lovely and fallish time on your device!
  • That *should* hopefully do the trick for you. Let me know if you have any questions regarding this method.

Each of the images are listed below in the orientation that they are available in. This was a little trickier to list out than our usual downloads, so just leave a comment or drop me an email if you have any questions.

The above image (the white pumpkins) is the only one I was able to make work for all three device options, due to its orientation.

The sunlight streaming into this row of pumpkins image (framed out with wheat!) just warms my heart. This image is available for computer desktops.

Pumpkins in an Urn

Pumpkin Patch Photos
The sweet pumpkin pair sitting atop an old urn in a sea of green foliage is one of the few vertical images from the pumpkin photos post. With its orientation, this image is perfect for phones and tablets.
