Fall Pictures to Print

We're getting out of our norm today with some fall pictures to print. These are actual photos instead of our usual printable art (although, I think photography is art, too, don't you?). And I've added in two beloved fall quotes to each of the photos that are already filled with fall colors, inspiration, and autumnal leaves. I can't wait to hear what you think of these.

Before I get too far in, I want to make sure you know I'm not the actual photographer behind these two photos today. I do about 90% of my own photography, but most of it is in my home studio and not out in nature (although, a girl can dream, right?). These two fall photography images of autumn trees are taken by an artist who takes photographs with the purpose of reselling and licenses to others (that's me!) to use their photography in manners like the one I'm doing today (with my typography flair). The vibrant leaves in the two images just really gave me all the fall feels. I'm posting these today to kind of get a feel for what everyone thinks about the idea of printable photography art. If these go over well, I'd love to dabble in some of my own photos used in this manner. I'm thinking of pulling out my own camera for some photos of pumpkins!

You can see both of the fall foliage photos below. I hope you enjoy this twist on our classic printable.

Fall Pictures to Print

Each of these photos feature one of my favorite things about the season: the changing fall leaves! While we don't get a whole lot of that beauty down here in central Texas, I always enjoy it immensely when we travel. A few years ago, I was with a group of bloggers in New York City in the fall and we did a changing leaves tour of Central Park. The vivid colors and foliage were pretty incredible for this Texan. All of the gorgeous leaves (no matter where you are) certainly make fall the best season, at least for me, anyways. I have both a vertical and horizontal photo for you today...to fit into your own decor seamlessly.

These two fall pictures to print are of fall foliage at its finest with leaves in some of the most vibrant autumn hues around.

The yellow leaves print was the first image in today's post. And the red leaf print is featured above. Each photo has its own autumn personality.

Fall Quotes

After a bit of deliberation, I went with two of my absolute favorite quotes to use in overlays on top of these fall pictures to print. It's such a beautiful season for both photography and inspirational quotes! Each image is a great shot of leaves...making the perfect autumn background for these seasonal words:
  • "Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall." - F. Scott Fitzgerald
  • "Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn." - Elizabeth Lawrence

Formatting Information

  • Each of these pictures is available in both 8x10" and 5x7" images (both high resolution).
  • Both sizes also are available in PDF and JPEG formats. I rarely say this, but JPEG is my recommended format on these, especially is you intend to print them like an actual photo on photo paper (also highly recommended).
  • I did not create 4x6" versions this time around, due to the size of the lettering I used in the quotes. I worried it could seem a bit difficult to read.
  • One image is landscape (horizontal) and the other is portrait (vertical).

Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.

How to Print these Fall Photos

  • You'll be able to download your pictures below.
  • Again, I do recommend the JPEGs, since they're actual photos that you're printing.
  • You can certainly print the PDF versions at home on regular white cardstock, but it will not be as crisp as the JPEGs printed onto photo paper. Plus, these will use up a considerable amount of your ink.
  • You can also upload the JPEGS to your favorite photo printing shop. If you are asked about copyright issues, please show this post to them on your phone. You have my complete permission to print these for your own personal use.
  • Photo paper is the best choice for these prints. Personally, I like to use this matte photo paper that I grab on Amazon. It works great for me.
  • The 5x7" PDF version has two images on it (to waste less paper). There is one to keep and one to share.

  2. The fall colors is also my favorite thing about fall. These prints are gorgeous! I agree that photography is art. All of our fall leaves are now covered in snow, so at least I can look at these prints now!! Beautiful. Thank you so much for this fantastic series.

  5. These are really nice. I take alot of outdoor photos, and usually do my own photo prints to put on cards. I enjoy this now and then from someone else.... but I think I do prefer watercolor type prints with quotes in them.. I love quotes and always love seeing one I haven't seen before. These two you used I haven't seen either! Since I don't do or dabble in watercoloring, I always enjoy yours! Thanks for all you share with us! Marilyn
