Making an Old Door Table

This post for an Old Door Table contains affiliate links.
I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

Our old door table has been in the works for a while. I'm so happy it's DONE and we're able to enjoy it all summer long. This table is made up of an old door from a friend of mine and plumbing conduit that my husband configured for the base. It serves as the perfect patio table.

How to DIY a Patio Table
I've had the hardest time finding a dining table for our patio. After living here an entire year, I just went for it and made my own. Initially, we went with the plumbing pipe table base because it was the simplest solution with minimal construction...now I just love how it looks and can't imagine it without the pipe. See how we put this old door table together below (including the painting techniques).

Tin Can Flower Garden

This Tin Can Flower Garden post and its shop have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #allessentials #allsulfatefree #CollectiveBias

Our chain link fence got a little makeover with a simple tin can flower garden. We had enough cans leftover that we used a few for a centerpiece down our patio table, too. I think any place is a good place for a sweet little flower garden, actually!
Rainbow Garden
Do you have a chain link fence that could use a little spruce up? We have vine growing on the majority of our fence, but it was a bit untidy where the vine tapered off. We fixed that with the sweetest little tin can flower garden that the whole family worked on together. See how simple it was to create below.

Painting Cornhole Boards

For this tutorial on Painting Cornhole Boards, I have received information and materials from ©Johnson & Johnson Consumer Inc. 2017. The opinions stated are my own. This is a sponsored post. #ForWhatMattersMost #CollectiveBias

One of the most beloved games of the south is Cornhole. Our family enjoys it a lot. When we had our extended family over for Easter, Cornhole was in full playing mode. But, after a busy day of play, we realized our Cornhole boards were in need of a little paint and TLC. Check out our tutorial on painting Cornhole Boards below.
Painting Cornhole Boards | Revamp your plain Cornhole boards with this simple painting technique.
Are you a Cornhole fan? It's a really simple game...but highly addictive (well, it is to us, anyway). My friend, Emily, was kind enough to gift us a couple of Cornhole boards a while back...she gave me carte blanche with taking a paintbrush to them. After playing with our boards for a while, I finally got to fixing them up a bit. I'm really happy with how they turned out, too.
And goodness, y'all...after a long day of throwing one-pound corn bags, don't forget the TYLENOL® 8 HR Muscle Aches & Pain (more on that below!).

Easy Quilted Coasters

This post for Easy Quilted Coasters has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #WorryFreeMessFree #CollectiveBias

These Easy Quilted Coasters are my new favorite gift to give. They're definitely a beginner sewing project that anyone can tackle. And I have a simple trick to make sure they last forever, in spite of spills and daily use.
Easy Quilted Coasters | Create this beginning sewing project without any in-depth quilting skills and minimal supplies. These make a perfect gift.
A few years ago, we had another family over to our house for dinner. They brought me the sweetest set of handmade, quilted coasters as a hostess gift. They were so pretty...cream colored and monogrammed, too. I absolutely loved them and how they looked in my living room. I truly used the heehaw out of them. Much to my sadness, they became stained over the years with our endless cups of tea and coffee. Now that I've learned to make my own easy quilted coasters, I've also learned how to make them hold up over time a bit better. Check out their tutorial below.

Upcycled Stockpot to Planter

This Upcycled Stockpot to Planter is my contribution for this month's Thrifty Style Team.
It worked out perfectly when I couldn't think of a thang to do for this month's post. I just had to look in the back of my car!

Upcycled Stockpot to Planter | Transform an old stockpot into a fun polka dot planter with these simple paint techniques.
Right now, I'm in trip-prep-mode. We're not leaving for another two and a half weeks, but we're literally going to be gone for well over half of June for 3-4 trips (still haven't completely committed my heart to one!).

Because of the nature of my work (I promise this is work...it's a heap-ton of fun, but still work), I have to just do double duty ahead of time to get everything scheduled and ready to roll out in my absence. I have several posts with sponsors that have required a massive amount of STUFF. Like, I have a total of four dozen (48!) industrial-sized tin cans (that three very kind friends collected for me) that I finally had to take out of the back of my car since I sounded like a freight train rattling through town every time I took a sharp turn. I kept them in there since my office was about to explode at the seams. But, now, it's just allllll hanging out. Everywhere.

When I emptied my car of the tin can craziness, I remembered this cute little vintage stockpot my friend, Susan, had given to me when she was giving me cans she had collected from her school. I was elated. Partly because I was getting desperate for something to do for today's Thrifty Style Team post. Partly because...well, I just love vintage stuff. See how I upcycled this stockpot to a planter below.

DIY Raised Dog Feeder

This DIY Raised Dog Feeder post and its shop have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser.
All opinions are mine alone. #DogsLoveNutrishDISH #CollectiveBias

Our Chloe-girl is loving the new DIY raised dog feeder we just made for her. And we are loving the fact that her bowls don't clank up against the walls while she's eating or drinking. Chloe is even a bit ornery and picks up her bowls in her mouth to carry to other rooms during the day. Much to her dismay, this new dog feeding station has brought that fun little trick to a screeching halt (womp, womp). Check out how we made this DIY raised dog feeder below.

DIY Raised Dog Feeder | This fun dog feeding station was made from a crate and painted to fit in with the owner's decor! Check out how easy it is to put together.
Not only is Chloe enjoying the new DIY raised dog feeder, she's also devouring her new food (and we think it's fantastic, too). We've gradually switched her to Rachael Ray™ Nutrish® DISH Chicken & Brown Rice Recipe dog food. It has been a very welcome addition to her feeding routine. See how this fun dog feeding station came together below.
