I fixed up a thrift store cutting board into a fun sign with vinyl. I used my Silhouette machine and a little southern sass.

Brown Sugar Bacon Smokies
These easy appetizers are perfect for a holiday party...
or even for Christmas or New Year's Day brunch.
I feel like this dish was a pioneer in the whole sweet/salty phenomenon. I first had it about ten years ago at a friend's house and was hooked. I remember going home and Googling it with no luck...we're talking pre-Pinterest days, people. Dark ages.
So I called the hostess and {ever so painstakingly} wrote down the recipe. Yep. Pen to paper. Weird, huh?
Amazingly, I still have that same piece of paper {ten years of greasy bacon stains and all}. I still work from it when I make this...although I don't know why. It is only three ingredients.
Merry Christmas!
Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season! I'm taking a couple of days to hang out with the family and enjoy Christmas and all of the awesomeness it brings.

'Tis the season for lots of partying. I feel like I'm making a dish almost every day to bring to something. I decided to simplify this year and make easier dishes, to lighten my load in the kitchen {and in the sink}. This Pimento Cheese Dip is rich and fabulously cheesey {that's the best, no?}. It's hot and bubbly and will keep everyone coming back for more.

Washi Tape Holiday Wreath and Free Printable Mini Banner
This post for a Washi Tape Holiday Wreath contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.
I was a bit late to the Washi Tape craze. But once I jumped into the madness, I did so with both feet and a smile. It is seriously fun to work with. This Washi Tape wreath came together very quickly and without any special skills.
I love decorating with non-traditional holiday color schemes...this black, white and red scheme is one of my favorites! Mixing the polka dot patterns from the tape and ribbon along with the little stripes on the banner and Baker's Twine really mixes things up here!
Holiday DIY Pallet Sign
For our second day in the Christmas series, I created a simple Holiday Pallet Sign using materials I had on hand. Working with pallets is a fun way to add to create low cost decor.
My husband and I were having lunch the other day and noticed a few abandoned pallets by the dumpster in the parking lot of the restaurant. My view is that if it's touching a dumpster, it's up for grabs. We picked the cleanest one and away we went.
Easy Holiday Appetizers: Shrimp Spring Rolls and Sesame Dipping Sauce
For the holidays, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®, I created an easy Sesame Dipping Sauce that is perfect to pair with SeaPak Shrimp Spring Rolls. They're easy holiday appetizers that taste fantastic. #PakTheParty
Sometimes dinner party recipes seem so elaborate and time intensive. To make things easier on the holiday party end, I love to prepare easy holiday appetizers with convenience foods paired with homemade sauces for dipping. This particular sauce is inspired by our local Japanese Hibachi Restaurant...every time we go there, I feel like I need an excuse to try to copy their sauce {or pick it up and just drink it}.
Rosemary Shortbread Stars Recipe
This post for Rosemary Shortbread Stars contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.
These Rosemary Shortbread Stars are a delightful holiday cookie with a fragrant rosemary twist. The unexpected addition of rosemary adds so much dimension to a simple shortbread cookie. See how to make this recipe for Rosemary Shortbread Stars below.
When I first tasted a shortbread cookie with rosemary, I thought, "Wow...this is a total grown up cookie". I loved the surprise of an herb in a cookie (it seemed so fancy and sophisticated). These Rosemary Shortbread Stars are perfect with a cup of hot tea or even left under the tree for Santa with a cup of milk. It'll be a nice change from all of the chocolate chip cookies everyone else decides to leave for him.
