The Original Fill-in-the-Blank Thank You Note
This is not my first foray into fill-in-the-blank thank you notes. Eons ago, I sold sets of fill-in-the-blank thank you notes that I designed at local craft fairs. They were a big hit! But the process of printing, cutting, packaging and selling these was A LOT. So, a year or so later, I went digital with this blog. However, a dear friend of mine still had a set from those days. Her son just graduated from high school and asked his mom if he could use one of these cards that I designed for the thank you note to our family. I about fell over when I opened the envelope. What a fun surprise! This is his note above. Our oldest boys are the same ages and both graduated this year...hard to believe.
Receiving this card inspired me to create new digital printables of these types of cards. I went a lot ink-friendlier this time around since I know most of you prefer to print at home. Thank you for inspiring me and making me smile, Owen!
Also...my friend and I did similar gifts for our boys (on purpose). What better thing to give an incoming college student than gift cards to fast food joints in their college city? My son was THRILLED with his that this family gave him!
Multiple Wording Options
On these new designs, I have two different wording choices for the signature areas of the cards:
- Your friend (for all the cards to friends and such)
- Love (because your grandmother doesn't want to receive a cards with the phrase "your friend")
Printing and Usage
- These Kids' Thank You Notes are for personal use. However, if you do own a small shop or business and would like to carry or use these items for marketing, you can purchase a commercial license here. Please note that digital redistribution is not allowed...the printed, physical products are the only items allowed to be resold with the commercial license.
- These cards print two to a letter-sized page.
- Each individual card measures 4.5"x6.25"
- These printable notes are best printed onto letter-sized white cardstock (regular paper is too thin and flimsy and often results in curled up corners).
- Grab a ream of white cardstock here on Amazon for the best price around. That's where I purchase mine.
- Once you print your cards, trim just inside the outer hairline.
- These printable notes are designed to fit standard A6 sized greeting cards.
- A colorful pack of envelopes would be fun to keep on hand to use these cards.
- Kraft paper envelopes would be super cute with the cards, too.
- And of course, the classic white envelope is perfect for these, as well.
