Small Coffee Bar Ideas for Fall

These small coffee bar ideas are perfect for the fall season, and really, all year long. I used blue, white, and orange for a bit of an unconventional take on a fall color scheme. And the Keurig® K-Duo Plus™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker is the pièce de résistance of the entire space...making our fall mornings easy and, well, pretty stylish, too. See all of my small coffee bar ideas for fall below (including a free coffee bar banner printable).

Small Coffee Bar Ideas
The first area that I decorate for any season is our coffee bar...because it's the most fun space to doll up! It's an old built-in desk at the end of the kitchen that we converted into coffee utopia. It's a small space, but a total workhorse for our family of five. With my father moving in with us recently, two teenage boys, and two busy parents, we're coffee people through and through. See all of my small coffee bar ideas below...I'm sure you'll find a few you can incorporate into your own coffee space, too, no matter what size.

Small Coffee Bar Ideas for Fall

I feel like I can make a little space for a coffee bar just about anywhere. I actually consider it a necessity, y'all. In our previous home, we had a rather large buffet for our coffee bar. Here in this kitchen, we've had to go a bit more vertical. And I really think there are just a few key items to make any coffee bar a success.
Blue and White Coffee Bar
I started my fall coffee bar this year with a fun and off-beat color-scheme for the season: a rich blue and white combination with the traditional fall orange mixed in. But, the real star of the show is the new Keurig® K-Duo Plus™ Single Serve & Carafe Coffee Maker.

Want to grab one of these pretty Keurig® K-Duo Plus™ coffee makers for your own home coffee bar? Hover your mouse over the above photo to click through to Bed, Bath & Beyond for purchasing.

The K-Duo Plus™ coffee maker is actually new to Bed, Bath & Beyond (one of my favorite places to shop!).

Keurig Duo
Making coffee is our household's morning ritual, whether it’s to jump start a busy day with a delicious quick brew or for that mid-morning relaxing moment. I love that this K-Duo Plus™ coffee maker makes life a lot easier. We've had a Keurig® since the brand debuted, and this one is, by far, our favorite. Honestly, it makes us happy to walk in and see this thing of beauty...it looks great in our kitchen. It offers simple moments of delight– one cup at a time (or in some instances, one carafe at a time).

Green Mountain Dark Magic Coffee
With the beginning of school, we've already put the K-Duo Plus™ coffee maker to use on a regular basis. On weekdays, we all leave at different times, so we can each choose our own K-Cup® pod to brew. I like that we can each choose the amount of coffee we want to brew, too. My husband can brew his tall to-go mug and I can do one of my little blue and white cups with this one machine (this coffee maker accommodates travel mugs up to 8" tall). The coffee taste is consistent every time we brew it.

New Keurig 2.0
Create your perfect cup and carafe every time with the K-Duo Plus™ coffee maker.

Keurig Carafe Basket
And on weekend mornings, we always have a big family breakfast (we truly never skip this special weekly tradition). The carafe feature is perfect for this. My favorite feature on this machine? The gold tone mesh filter that I can use to brew the perfect carafe (pictured above). It's included with the K-Duo Plus™ coffee maker. (Never worry about running out of coffee filters again!)

Keurig Stainless Carafe
It also includes a 12-cup thermal carafe that can keep coffee warm for up to 2 hours. The machine automatically pauses mid-brew for 20 seconds, allowing the carafe to be poured. It can also be programmed to automatically brew a carafe up to 24 hours in advance. This makes our leisurely weekend family breakfasts that much tastier and easier, too. Coffee is great to share a nice moment with others. For a full house or a full mug – brew the perfect amount for every moment.

Small Coffee Bar Essentials:

Besides an awesome coffee maker, there are a few other items to utilize in your coffee bar.

  • The other big essential? Coffee, of course. We can grab our favorite K-Cup® pods at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, and pick up some grounds for the carafe, too.
  • An attractive (but functional) place to hold your K-Cup® pods and grounds is also important.
  • Napkins, creamers, sweeteners, sugars, and other coffee goodies are also good to keep out in the open, so they're easily accessible.
  • Have a central place to store your cups, too, so everyone can grab one when they need it.
  • Fresh flowers or a plant (if space), and small seasonal decor pieces.

Donut Shop K-Cups
I like to keep our K-Cup® pods out in the open so they're easy to access for all of our coffee drinkers. My 83-year old dad is partial to the The Original Donut Shop ones, so he loves seeing them all ready and waiting. He's like a kid in a candy store when we get a new box. I use my tiered stand to hold the K-Cup® pods, along with napkins, sweeteners, sugar, and cream. I filled in the extra space with some of my glittery pumpkins for a fun pop of fall color.

Coffee Bar
I keep our ground coffee in one of the larger ceramic containers on the coffee bar shelves, also easy to access (pictured above on the left side of the shelf). I like to have something living on display, too, be it a plant or a bouquet of flowers. It just brings life to a space. If you trim your fresh flowers regularly, they can last for well over a week (even two depending on the season and variety).

I hung a couple of my vintage blue and white plates on the back of the shelf spaces in this fall coffee bar. I love having these out and on display.

Coffee Banner
And all of my mismatched cups from thrift stores and my late aunt are in the basket on the top shelf of the coffee bar. I also have a stash in the cupboard right next to this area, too. We definitely do not have a shortage of coffee cups around these parts. I hung my COFFEE banner front and center for an additional pattern and a bit more orange.

Pumpkin Banner
I have this banner in both the COFFEE version, as well as just pumpkins (as pictured above). The pumpkin version was from a previous post earlier this month that you can access here. And the coffee banner is available below.
