These free printable Fall 3x5 and 4x6 Recipe Cards are not only perfect for exchanging recipes, but are adorable in a frame on your kitchen counter, as well (filled in with a favorite fall recipe). These simple cards are a bit of a throw back , but if you're like me, you still have and use good ol' fashioned recipe cards, in addition to all of the modern ways of recipe keeping, as well. 3x5 and 4x6 Recipe Cards for Fall
I feel like fall also doubles as baking season. From pumpkin breads to fruit-filled pies for Thanksgiving to just warm yumminess of all kinds from the oven, fall is all about deliciousness. I created these free printable recipe cards with a simple fall motif. They are perfect for all of your autumn-flavored recipes. If you're like me, you have a lot of those.

Fall 3x5 and 4x6 Recipe Cards

Something about cooler weather makes us all want to turn on the oven and put something delicious inside of it (and, of course, devour it). We love pumpkin bread this time of the year (I now have a low carb version of it that works well on our eating plan, too). My original pumpkin bread recipe came from one of my college roommates. Her then fiancĂ©, (now husband), made his family's pumpkin bread in our kitchen every fall. It was incredible. And I still make a loaf of it every year for my kids. The recipe card it's on is a cherished possession that my friend wrote out for me in the late nineties. I smile every fall when I pull it out and see her handwriting.

I feel like recipe cards are like little time capsules. I also have a box of hand-written recipe cards from my late uncle who was the head pastry chef at the Manhattan Cafe in San Antonio over 50 years ago. His recipe card for mile-high meringue pie is probably my favorite thing in my entire kitchen. Cards like these are so special and meaningful.

Share some of your own favorite fall recipes with friends this year...you could make a lifelong memory for them, as well.
4x6 Recipe Cards
Since 4x6" is my most popular size for recipe cards, I originally just went that route. However, when I started putting this post together, I decided it wouldn't be too difficult to add in the 3x5" cards, as well. So, both sizes are available for you to download below.

These would be super cute tied to a homemade treat. Make up a loaf of bread to share, and write the recipe for it on one of these fall recipe cards. Tie it to your bread (maybe wrapped in a sweet fall kitchen towel) and you have a lovely gift that anyone would enjoy receiving.

Framed Recipe Card
And as I mentioned above, the 4x6" size of these recipe cards are perfect to frame and display in your kitchen with your seasonal fall decor (pictured above). My mother-in-law has always had a recipe for "Cinnamon Supper Cake" framed in her kitchen and I've always loved it.

Printing & Using Your 3x5 and 4x6 Recipe Cards

  • You'll be able to download the recipe card size of your choice below in the download links section.
  • Print either size onto white cardstock paper. Regular paper is far too thin for recipe cards (we want these to last for years, right?).
  • Once you print your cards, simply cut them out around the outer border. A paper cutter makes quick work of this.
  • Then, just fill in with your recipe.
  • You can also print multiple copies to stack together and tie up as a gift. These would be cute with some kitchen gadgets at a bridal shower.
  • Please keep in mind that these cards are for personal use only. They may be gifted, as well. But they are not to be reproduced in any manner to sell.
Recipe Card Covers
I started using these nifty recipe card protectors recently and I'm totally hooked (pictured above). They're a great way to preserve those cherished recipes (without lots of actual recipe stains on them).

You can download either size of recipe card below the following image. They are both the exact same design with fall watercolor florals and a sweet lil' pumpkin poking into the bottom righthand corner.
