Christmas Coffee Bar Ideas

This coffee bar came about because of a really fun find. We just moved my father into our home. In the process of cleaning out his home, I found these fantastic vintage kitchen canisters in the way back of a cabinet. It turns out they were the very first set of canisters my parents ever had...after their wedding in 1955. I am so tickled to have them on my coffee bar. While they're perfect for year round, their colors are super holidayish.

Vintage Ideas for Coffee Bars

Vintage Canisters
When I found these, I just pulled out the large one, since that was all that appeared to be in the cabinet. But, after opening it, it was kind of like Russian Nesting Dolls...more kept coming! This was just one of about five sets of canisters we found in their home. To say my mom was a collector was an understatement. Pretty sure this set is my favorite set, though!

Vintage Red Canisters
They function perfectly on the coffee bar. The largest has our K-Cups, the next one has my Nespresso Pods, the third has tea bags, and this last one has my sweetener packets.

Mini Santa Mug
In front of my new canister find, I placed some of my vintage miniature Santa mugs.

Vintage Coffee Mugs
And next to the canisters is another little collection. I set my larger vintage Santa mugs on a little seasonal cake stand. The snowman creamer was a gift from my oldest, from his kindergarten year. It was the first time he attended the holiday store at his school...and I love that this is what he selected for me!

Ceramic Santa Boot
I used my vintage ceramic Santa boot to hold my mom's old silver spoons for coffee stirring.

Santa Sign
On the top shelf of the coffee bar sit my collection of "spoon mugs".  My dear friend finished this collection for me (it was originally started by my husband). These were all from Starbucks a few years ago. Sadly, I've never been able to find them again. I keep them out from the Christmas season all the way through Valentine's...their colors are perfect for both holidays. The car with tree was from Target a couple of years back. The Santa sign was also from Target.

Winter Art
I tucked my little Winter art print under the bottom shelf...it was the perfect fit. I grabbed it last year from Minted. You can also see how I used it in my holiday gallery wall here. I keep my Christmas coffee cups, as well as my teas in this little caddy. This Cardamon Cinnamon Tea from The Republic of Tea tastes like Christmas in a mug. I buy it here on Amazon (it's cheaper than the place in town we have that sells Republic of Tea).

Nespresso Machine
Everyone always asks about my "other" coffee maker, so I thought I'd share about it. It's a Nespresso. I've had it for years and can't live without it. And yes, I like a *little* milk with my coffee. If you're looking for the perfect gift for the coffee lover in your life, I highly recommend this machine. It comes with espresso making capabilities (I use those daily) and a milk frother. The best price I've found for it is here on Amazon.

  3. THanks so much for SHOWING the ideas from "friends." Makes it so much easier to just click on the ones you KNOW you will like. Appreciate it all, tho. and your "Coffee Bar" is fabulous, altho. I wouldn't be able to make one as most of my family don't drink coffee or not that much anyway, if they do. Love all your printables.

    1. Thank you so much for your kind words, Bonnie! I really appreciate it. My mother-in-law has something similar set up with hot tea since she's a tea-person rather than coffee! Hoping you have a Merry Christmas! xoxo

  4. How wonderful you have those canisters from your Mom. My parents were married around the same time and I remember when I was little seeing similar items around. My Mom passed when I was younger, though, so I didn't have the opportunity to get any of those goodies, but oh, my, word, yours are vintagey fabulous and something that will always remind you of your Mom's love. Also, congratulations on your Dad moving in...what a blessing for you all. Have a very Merry Christmas, Kristi!

  8. Yes you must have heard a million people say how coffee is the first thing they want in the morning as soon as the splutter their eyes open and how it is the only hot drink that can help you to cut through and make way past all the stress. Then there are the other populations of people who have waved the "No-No" flag for Coffee and only support the harmful effects. However this article is for the coffee lovers who in spite of desperate trying cannot seem to give up on the luxury... Coffee Corner Improve health and performance by adding healthy drinks on your daily menu. With this, you can easily accomplish your tasks without experiencing too much stress.

  9. Jackson Saying,
I love the Santa theme and coffee bar. I have a tray on which I put the Keurig, a bowl of instant mixes, coffee and cocoa K-cups, and three mugs. I’m looking around the house for a Christmas Home for the tray. I’ll use some of your ideas on my tray area, including your yard clippings ideas. Thank you for the inspiration!
