Free Printable Birthday Cards

I'm still on a bit of a birthday-themed kick in the printable department. These free printable birthday cards are available to celebrate every fifth year from 10 to 100. They're perfect for both kids, adults, and all of your favorite people. Download yours below.

Printable Birthday Cards
I love a good age-specific birthday card...they seem to add a more personal touch and don't require a lot of extra effort. And gosh, who doesn't love the quintessential number candle? I always enjoyed the classic white and green ones from my childhood...but these watercolor ones kind of take the cake (pun intended). Grab these free printable birthday cards below.

Numerical Birthday Cards
I think these are lovely little birthday cards to keep on hand. These days, greeting cards can get so spendy. Keeping these at the ready can make it a bit easier on the pocketbook. Plus, they're super sweet for the recipient. The watercolor cake, different layers of frosting, and sweet florals make it even more special. The cake is topped with numerical birthday candles and a happy birthday banner...making each design the perfect card for its recipient.

I've also included a "neutral" card with just one candle (pictured above) for those birthdays that don't end in "0" or "5". These free birthday cards are perfect for any age.

Watercolor Birthday Cards
When these free printable happy birthday cards come out of your home printer, you'll notice they have a small line around the perimeter of the actual card. I prefer to cut the card just inside that line, so it doesn't show at all. There is a faint, hairline on the center of the card for folding.

Pretty Greeting Cards
I've started using one of these nifty sliding paper cutters for most of my printables that require cutting. I grabbed this one on clearance at Tuesday Morning, but you can get one here on Amazon.

Envelopes for Your Cards

Colorful Envelopes
These free printable birthday cards fit into standard A6 envelopes. I try to keep a stash of these on hand for quick card send outs.

How to Print and Use these Free Printable Birthday Cards:

  • These cards are for personal use. However, if you do own a small business or online shop and would like to carry the physical version of these cards (no digital redistribution is allowed), you may purchase a commercial license here.
  • Download these free printable cards below (you'll have the opportunity to choose which numbers you'd like).
  • Print these onto white letter-sized cardstock. Regular paper will curl up on the edges, be sure to always print cards onto white cardstock.
  • Cut out the card just inside the hairline running the perimeter of the design (to remove the border).
  • Fold in half on the faint line on the center of the card.
  • Use the handle of your scissors and run it along the fold, to give it a nice, crisp fold.
  • Be sure to write your own heartfelt messages inside of the card.
  • Use these cards inside of standard A6 envelopes. You can even grab the colorful ones, like I used above, here.

Free Printable Birthday Cards
If you like the look of today's numerical birthday cards, you'll probably also like the above designs. I created this new free Happy Birthday Card printable over at my other blog, Print Pretty Cards. There are two different cards with fun cupcake options to choose from (both are calorie free) and perfect for sending happy birthday wishes. I offer a lot of different free printable greeting cards on this newer blog. Would love for you to check it out.

  3. Another source of card-sized envelopes: when I see the brand rep restocking the card aisles in local stores, I ask him/her for "orphan envelopes." It's amazing how many folks grab a card and leave the envelope. The reps pull those and replace ALL of them with envelopes that match the new stock. Last time I got over 50 envelopes -- brights, pastels, decorated, plain -- FREE. Each rep has also either given me her name or written on the bag so I can show it to the cashier as an authorized freebie. Great for when the grandkids and I make cards. Also wonderful for when I mess up addressing an envelope... I can simply find an orphan envelope and start over :) When I get the jumbled envelopes home, I sort them by size, then color.
