These Snowman Honey Jars are going to make great gifts for my neighbors this year. This is a fun little Christmas craft that is perfect for all ages. Plus, the contents are delicious.

I like to give little gifts to our neighbors every holiday season. Since moving here a year and a half ago, we have realized the folks on our street are truly the best. Everyone is kind and thoughtful...and brings our trash cans up to our house when we forget (doh!). These sweet lil' Snowman Honey Jars are perfect as holiday gifts for neighbors (or teachers, co-workers, friends, etc.). Long after the Christmas season is over, the delicious Don Victor® Honey will be there for their treats and teas. See how to make these below.

I've been partial to Don Victor® Honey for a couple of years now (remember my Holiday Honey and Pear Cake from a couple of years ago?). It's seriously a step up in the honey world. The Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jar contains the honeycomb, too...it's such a treat (and can be eaten!).

I always keep a jar on hand...it's truly a wonderful honey.

To make these Snowman Honey Jars, you'll need one Don Victor® Orange Blossom Comb Honey Globe Jar. You'll also need black construction paper, half of a cardboard bath paper tube, red felt (I grab the $.24 sheets in the craft section of Walmart), scrap vinyl pieces for snowman features (I used orange and silver), greenery pieces (I used scraps from a wreath), and a black oil-based permanent marker.
You will cut the black construction paper into two circles: one 1/2" larger than the cardboard tube, and one just a slight bit larger than the tube (the top one will be almost flush, but just a wee bit larger so it can be glued on). You will also cut one strip of the paper in the width of the tube (I just cut it the entire length of the paper).

Start by assembling the snowman's top hat. Wrap and glue the strip of black paper around the empty cardboard tube. I like to secure it with paper clips and let it dry and set for a few minutes before adhering the top and bottom in place.

Use craft glue (or similar) and glue the top and bottom pieces to the tube. Set aside and let dry. Once dry, add a couple of small sprigs of greenery to the rim of the hat using a dab of hot glue.

Cut a 12"x1" strip of felt from the felt sheet (that was the length of my felt sheet). Make a small fringe on each end of the strip with scissors. This is the perfect little scarf for your snowman friend. After your snowman's face is in place, just use a dab of hot glue on the back and front of the jar (at the bottom) to secure the scarf in place.

For the face, I just used a few scraps of vinyl that I had on hand. You can also use construction paper, if you're not a vinyl user. I didn't use my machine, I just cut these by hand: two circles for eyes and the triangle for the carrot nose. I freehanded the lil' smirks I gave my snowmen and added pupils to the eyes, too. Be sure to apply them slightly higher on the jar so there is room for your scarf (which I mentioned above, I like to hot glue onto the jar after the face is done). I also use double stick tape to adhere the hat to the top of the jar, too.

Aren't these snowman honey jars fun? I love that you can see the honeycomb right inside the jars, too...I think that lets the recipient know that they're in for a treat.

Don Victor® Honey is a raw, filtered honey...it's not heated or processed in any other way. It's the perfect honey for gifting and entertaining this holiday season. I like to buy multiple jars, so I love how affordable it is, too.

Don't forget that the honeycomb can be eaten, y'all. Here's a few ideas:
- While your morning toast is still hot, spread with butter and a chunk of honeycomb. You'll have to mash the honeycomb a bit to flatten it out. My kids enjoy it this way.
- It is also delicious on hot biscuits, French toast, and pancakes.
- It's also delicious with fancier crackers and brie or cheddar cheeses.

Don Victor® Honey can be picked up on your grocery run to Walmart. It has a unique location in the store; look for the "Hispanic Foods" sign. I always grab a jar or two for myself, as well.
