2x4 Bunnies

This tutorial for 2x4 Bunnies contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you. Paint for the 2x4 Bunnies was provided by Plaid Crafts.

These 2x4 Bunnies are a fun little Easter craft to bring a little spring to your decor. You might even have everything you need on hand...we used a 2x4 from our scrap pile for this project. And these 2x4 bunnies seem to multiply like, well...you know.
Bunny Blocks
I love a good 2x4 project...mainly because I have loads of leftover 2x4s on hand from various projects. Usually, these projects don't cost a thing to put together...and are fairly uncomplicated, too. Check out my complete tutorial for these 2x4 Bunnies below.

Free Spring Watercolor Printable

This free spring watercolor printable (who doesn't love a Vespa, right?) is available in both vertical and horizontal designs. And if flowers on the front of an aqua moped don't scream spring, I don't know what does.

Free Spring Watercolor Printable: Pretty aqua moped with loads of beautiful spring blooms. Available in both vertical and horizontal. Instant downloads.
I honestly had been wanting to do a vintage truck design for spring (similar to the one I did for newsletter subscribers during the holidays with the VW Bug and Christmas tree). But, I couldn't get flowers to lay correctly in the bed of the truck in the design...it looked like the truck was actually growing the flowers. While that was interesting and all...it just looked totally wrong. And then a Vespa came to mind! It's like the perfect little spring scenario, right?

Since one of my readers recently requested more horizontal designs, this one is actually available in both styles below.

Watercolor Flowers Easter Printables

What goes better with spring than watercolor flowers? Combined with beautiful Bible verses, these six Watercolor Flowers Easter Printables are perfect for your spring decor.
They are the latest addition in my Printables for Purchase line. Grab your Watercolor Flowers Easter Printables below.

Floral Watercolors
In Texas, spring hits ridiculously early...so I'm trying to just embrace it and enjoy it (as compared to previous years of grumbling because it's 90 degrees in March). I'm going ahead and putting out all of the Easter decor. These new Watercolor Flowers Easter printables are perfect for my living room...I'm thinking of rotating them out all season long. I bundled them all together for $5 in my shop.

YOU CAN GRAB THEM HERE IN THE SHOP.
Or see each individual print below for more details.

DIY Frayed Edge Appliqué Pillow

This post for a DIY Frayed Edge Appliqué Pillow contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

This DIY Frayed Edge Appliqué Pillow (with a sweet little bunny) is a fun little Easter craft. If you've never done appliqué, this is the perfect project to get your feet wet. It utilizes a simple basic stitch on the sewing machine (you can sew by hand, if you prefer). I have the free printable appliqué template below, as well. And who can resist the addition of a yarn pom pom bunny tail?

DIY Frayed Edge Appliqué Pillow: Sweet little bunny pillow made from a canvas drop cloth and men's shirt. Free printable bunny template available, too.
Are y'all tired of my pillow tutorials yet? Honestly, I'm such a throw pillow hoarder that I may never tire of creating them (but please don't leave en masse). This is another super budget-friendly project...I used an old men's plaid shirt (the shirt was old, not the man who wore it...ahem), and of course, my go-to drop cloth for fabric. Check out the tutorial for this DIY Frayed Edge Appliqué Pillow below (it's on another easy envelope pillow cover!).

Inspiration Monday

Welcome back to the fun, y'all! We're here to inspire and be inspired. That's what's the most fun about a party like this! It's a rainy day in central Texas, so I plan to cuddle up with the laptop and some tea and watch all of the creative links roll on in.

It's also an extra cozy party with all of these "comfy" features. This week's selections were chosen by Meegan from What Meegan Makes. Cuddle up and be inspired, too! Check out all of the fun below.

How to Make Yarn Pom Poms

This post for How to Make Yarn Pom Poms contains affiliate links. I make a small percentage when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

I'm sharing how to make yarn pom poms with just a fork and a clothespin (you'll need scissors and a tiny bit of patience, as well). This is a fun project that kids can help with, too...and pom poms are crazy addictive to make! I'm also sharing a few ideas to use your new pom poms, too. Check out this tutorial (includes a complete video) for how to make yarn pom poms below.

How to Make Yarn Pom Poms

Ahhhh, pom poms. These are one of the yarn crafts of my youth that still make me smile. I shared on my Instagram this past weekend that we worked on both finger knitting (remember finger knitting?) and yarn pom poms all weekend. My youngest had so much fun with all of it.

While, the traditional method of pom pom making involves using 3-4 fingers wrapped up in yarn...it also tends to cut off my circulation. While purple finger tips are fun and all, I recently discovered this fork method and then put my own spin on it by adding in a clothespin for added security. Check out how to make yarn pom poms below with this simple method.

These Easy Envelope Pillow Covers are my go to for alllllll of my pillows. I cover old pillows, new pillows, and even make seasonal pillows with these covers. I personally love to use drop cloths to make these ridiculously cheap. But this simple pattern works with any fabric. I also have a sizing chart as well to make it easier for ya!

Easy Envelope Pillow Covers | Make a super budget-friendly envelope pillow cover out of a drop cloth or fabric! Perfect for a beginner sewing project.
I've done several tutorials for Easy Envelope Pillow Covers here on the blog...but I wanted a tutorial with sizing specifics that I can refer to in future posts (because, hey...I make a lot of pillows, y'all). I have a fun bunny pillow coming up next week (super cute, I can't WAIT to show you!), so I figured now was the time to put together a more detailed post about creating the Easy Envelope Pillow Covers. This is a sewing tutorial that even a beginner can handle...it's even perfect for your first sewing project. Check out the details below.

Inspiration Monday

Happy start to your week, friends. It's been a warm one in central Texas (over 80 degrees yesterday, yowza!). I kind of want a little snow to round out the winter, but not sure this is the winter we'll get it. But...it certainly feels very SPRING-ish! And that's not a bad thing, right?

Today, I'm sharing some ideas for thrifted craft room storage. Although, I shared the big reveal for my craft room wall last month here, I thought it would be fun to share all of the tidbits I've added since then...including several items from thrift stores (this room is on a budget, y'all). I'm also sharing how I gave one of my items a little makeover.

AND, this is the first 2017 edition of the Thrifty Style Team!

This ribbon and tulle craft room storage container is one of my latest thrift store finds (see them all throughout this post). My rule is that each thrifted container I buy can't cost more than $5...and it must fit that vintage vibe I've got going on in here. Check out how I made this one over from a holiday planter I found at Goodwill (below).
