I was kind of getting bored of 8x10" printables every week, y'all (and you probably were, too!). I thought it would be fun to change things up and design something a bit different this week. This free Printable Paper Mini Rosette Banner has all of its downloadable components below...along with a complete tutorial on making these sweet little rosettes.

Sometimes you just want something a bit different and unique. And that was where my heart was at when I created this rosette banner. I hung mine on my built-in hutch in the breakfast area. I tried to use the colors of the dishes in my hutch for the gingham and flowers on the banner. I think it looks pretty sweet here on some jute twine.

I think this little banner turned out super sweet.

How to Make Your Rosette Banner

Supplies:

Directions:

  • Cut out your medallion strips and fold them accordion-style (about 1/2 inch folds). See image above for example.

  • Form a circle with the strips in a fan-like fashion (see above image).
  • I used the Scotch Mounting Tape to secure mine.(Again, the mounting tape is available here on Amazon.)

  • Above, you can see where I used the mounting tape to secure the two ends together.
  • You'll want something fairly heavy duty. If you use hot glue, just be super careful.

  • I cut out my flower pieces with my craft knife.

  • Then, I took the paper off the mounting square and just stuck a flower on the rosette.
  • To make into a banner, punch mini holes through a pleat in the rosettes like I did.
  • Then string your twine through each rosette. Since they're going through two layers of cardstock, they stay on the twine where you position them (for the most part).

There are actually two sizes for the rosettes (the medallion parts). I highly recommend the 11x17" size to make these a lot easier on yourself. The letter size does work (it's what I used). But the 11x17" gives you a lot more room to work with. Both sizes are meant to be printed onto card stock.

I think this banner is so fun and summery. You could even do all one color, if you prefer.

  2. Do they make cardstock big enough for the 11x17 rossettes?

    1. Hi Jo! They sure do! You should be able to find some at your local craft or office supply store. I have also seen it available online at Amazon and Sam's Club. Great question! I hope this helps! xoxo
