Below are detailed instructions on How to Create A Home Binder. Now, that we're at the end of the month, you'll have all of the organizational printables you'll need to fill your binder up. See my complete tutorial below on Hoe to Create a Home Binder. Happy Organizing!
Home Binder

Wowsers. What a month, y'all. To say I'm ready to create a different type of post for a while is an understatement. Not that I don't love organizational posts...but, yeah. Stick a fork in me. I'm striped, dotted, & triangled out. ;)

But, truly, I hope this month has been helpful to all of you, as well. Are you ready to put your home binder together? Let's do this!

How to Create a Home Binder

What to Put in Your Home Binder

Here's a few of the items I used to assemble my home binder, that you may find helpful, too:
  • Large, 3-inch Binder (purchase here from Amazon): I grabbed a really big one so I can add to it over time. Plus, most of my printables are laminated so I can use dry erase with them over and over. They take up a bit more space that way, but it's worth it to me.
  • Ready Index Monthly Tabs (purchase here from Amazon): these are perfect under both the financial and cleaning tabs of your binder to organize monthly tasks.
  • Assorted Binder Pockets (purchase here from Amazon): these are fabulous for receipts and all of that jazz in the financial section. They're also great for menus in the housekeeping section, brochures in the travel section, business cards in the contacts, and so much more. I love these things!
  • Filing Tabs (purchase here from Amazon): I use these to separate my main sections, since I can write on them. I attach them right to the first page (that I laminate) and then can flip right to the section.
  • Self-Laminating Sheets, not pictured (purchase here from Amazon): these are great to laminate all of the printables that can be used over and over in the binder, like expense trackers, etc.
  • Fine-Tip Dry Erase Markers, not pictured (purchase here from Amazon): these are the ones I use when I mark up the laminated sheets, to keep them reusable.
  • Fine-Tip Permanent Markers, not pictured (purchase here from Amazon): these are great for the pages you want to keep permanently intact (contact sheets, account numbers, etc.). And who doesn't love a pack of rainbow-colored Sharpies? They're like candy to me.

I also created the above Table of Contents printable to keep the binder itself organized. This contains all of the sections of printables we've done over the month. If you have something else you'd like to include, be sure to print out the blank NOTES page from yesterday for your own use here. It might be helpful to include one of those in each section. This is how the binder works best for me. You may want to organize yours a bit differently, to make it fit into your lifestyle easily for you.

More Home Binder Printables

Besides the printables below, I also keep our important documents in the binder pockets pictured above in this post, throughout the binder, too...from passports to identification papers. I also keep my binder in a really secure spot in our home, to keep it safe, as well as access it when needed. Please note, with all of the information in here, you may want to keep yours under lock and key as well...this is definitely not something to leave lying around.

Not sure how to Print a Printable?

See my complete video tutorial below covering how to print your printables on both a Mac and a PC...on your home printer.

I hope you've enjoyed this month as much as I have. It's been a full one...packed with loads of printable goodies. Let me know if you have any questions in the comments.

Below are all of the printables that you will need for your home binder. Some of these have several printables (daily, weekly, monthly items, etc.). Be sure and grab all of the ones you'll need to create your home binder>>>

  1. I've REALLY enjoyed these binder printables and am prepared to put mine together this coming weekend. I'm printing mine at the 1/2 sheet size as it will make it easier to transport when necessary. One thing I'd like to throw out to you for an idea, would be a 1/2 sheet size recipe binder. This size would make it possible for someone to take the binder along with them to the grocery, and it's also a better size for most kitchens.

  8. This is exactly what we need. It's a nuisance having to run around trying to locate things. Or worse, trying to remember where stuff is while I'm away from home & my husband is searching for something.
