This Kickin' Crockpot Kielbasa is perfect for all of your gatherings. It's a mix-and-throw recipe (mix it up, throw it in the Crockpot). Those are my fave, because they're easy! This appetizer has a delicious kick that you can dial up or down to your taste preferences.
I know I'm totally riding the coat-tails of a big game with this blog post, but I'm so ready for the fun March brings with my favorite sport: basketball. Football is fine and all that...but I've never been one to get that into it. Basketball is my jam, man. It wasn't always this way. My husband is the one who got me into basketball games...we met during spring and dated through a lot of game-watching fun.

Check out this delicious Kickin' Crockpot Kielbasa recipe for all of your basketball watching fun.

This dish is super versatile...you can plate it with picks for a big spread, or leave your kielbasa in the Crockpot on warm for folks to graze on as they please. It's perfection for all of the basketball fun that takes place in March!

We love all things basketball...from college teams to the big guys. We bracket, watch, and just have a ton of fun with it. And of course, we have delicious snacks while we enjoy the mayhem of March.

When we have friends over for basketball fun this year, we'll be serving Black Box Wines. I also used Black Box Wines Chardonnay in this Kickin' Crockpot Kielbasa. I grabbed a box of their Cabernet Sauvignon, too. Black Box Wines are really delicious. I thought the Chardonnay was a nice, crisp wine...really versatile. These are also premium wines available on any budget (they cost 40% less than comparable bottled wines)...and they stay fresh for six weeks. I cook with wine a lot, so having a box on hand that will last a while is perfect for my house. One box of Black Box Wines is the equivalent to four standard-size bottles of wine.

These wines have won over 50 Gold Medals...their quality is hard to beat. If you're headed to a party, these are perfect for tote-ability (and won't break on the floorboard of your car en route like a wine bottle can!).

Not only does my Kickin' Crockpot Kielbasa have Black Box Wines Chardonnay in it, it also pairs well with the wine, too.

This is a simple recipe...one that is mixed up and then tossed in a Crockpot. Those are my favorite kind. No fuss. Feel free to use a little bit more or less of the mustard to dial the kick up or down. Same goes for the black pepper.

Be sure to cut your kielbasa into bite-sized pieces. It makes it much easier on munching as a game-time snack.

I'm definitely a boxed wine girl, now! Love the ease of dispensing this...for a recipe or a glass.

Kickin' Crockpot Kielbasa

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup spicy brown mustard
  • 1/2 cup Black Box Wines Chardonnay
  • 1 cup apricot jelly
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 2 packages fully cooked Kielbasa sausage links

Directions:
Spray the inside of a Crockpot or slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Combine all ingredients, except Kielbasa in the prepared Crockpot or slow cooker and mix well. Slice Kielbasa into bite-sized pieces and add to Crockpot, too. Stir to completely coat kielbasa pieces with sauce. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. Switch Crockpot to warm and serve straight from pot or plate with toothpicks.

What do you enjoy serving for basketball nights with friends?

Time to kick off the basketball fun the yummy way!
