Christmas Card Gallery Wall

Wanted to share one of our favorite traditions/decorations around our home during the holiday season.
We've taken our family Christmas card every year {since the year we married} and have framed one as a keepsake. We display them all on a gallery wall this time of the year.

This was an easy project. I try to stick to just red & black frames to keep the look consistent. A couple of the frames were gifts {some of our friends know our tradition and like to look for frames with years on them to give to us}...but that just makes it all the more special. If the cards were an odd size, I added a piece of holiday scrapbook paper to fill the extra space in the frame. I also added in a few vintage holiday signs to add some extra interest.

LOVE looking through this wall of holiday memories. It seems like each card ended up having a story behind it...and it's so special to retell it every year.

This is actually my husband's project every year. He tackles this wall with his hammer, nails and level and has it done in less than an hour. He's a keeper.

  1. I LOVE this idea! Do you just patch the holes in January? (yes, that is the first question that popped in my OCD head!) Even more reason to do a photo card each year and not make cards! LOL I used to make all my cards but once I went to the photo card side...I have not returned!! :)

  2. Hey, Rebecca! So happy you stopped by. We miss you in K-town! Haha...yes, we spackle every January. We keep a can of touch up paint in the garage and sometimes use it as well! :)
