Today's post is sponsored by Bounty. I'm a member of the Quicker Picker Upper Team.
My friends at Bounty are celebrating 50 years as America's #QuickerPickerUpper. Check out how Bounty has fit seamlessly into my DIY life over the years...as well as how it has fit into the lives of others below.
Bounty, the long lasting quicker picker-upper, has been soaking up spills and helping pick up everyday messes in American homes for over 50 years. Check out my photos from over the years on how I've incorporated these paper towels into so many of my own jobs.
If you follow this blog regularly, you probably know that I love to refinish anything and everything...from my family's heirloom pieces of furniture to a good thrift store find. And for the last 15 years of refinishing goodies, I've loved using Bounty Paper towels, along with my other trusty tools, to produce the aged and antiquey look that I love so much.
I dampen and use them to clean off surfaces after sanding to get them ready for stain or paint.
I use the Bounty Paper Towels to wipe the stain off as well...leaving the stain darker in some places and lighter in others. It gives the pieces a more authentically aged look.
When I age pieces with a petroleum jelly method, I use my paper towels to remove top layers of paint to reveal a darker layer of stain on the bottom.
I especially love to use my paper towels to add aging to corners of pieces...where a natural aging pattern would occur.
My Bounty Paper Towels, along with all of my other tools, always help me produce keepsakes for my home and others' homes, too. This piece above is over 100 years old...and hopefully will be around another 100 years, too. I love that my trusty paper towels helped me renew it and give it new life.
And, the new Bounty with Dawn is fantastic for those little oopsies that happen quite a lot around here. In 1965, Bounty brought the quicker picker-upper into American homes and changed the way we soak up spills. Today, in 2015, Bounty is once again revolutionizing the way we clean with its newest product innovation—Bounty with Dawn, on shelves now.
Although a lot may have changed in American households over the past 50 years, some things have remained the same – Bounty is still America’s favorite paper towel.
For the past 50 years, Bounty has rolled with the decades. By continually listening to consumers’ needs and consistently innovating to improve strength and absorbency, Bounty brings consumers the best possible paper towel.
