DIY Minecraft Tumblers & Silhouette Designer Edition Promotion

These DIY Minecraft Tumblers were a cinch to create with my new
Silhouette Designer Edition software.

Little man is celebrating the big SEVEN with a Minecraft sleepover with his closest buddies in a few weeks. I put together some simple tumblers with the "Creeper" character on them as take-home favors.

These were super easy to create using my new Silhouette Studio Designer Edition Software {which is now 40% off with code MOPPING at checkout here}. If you already have a Silhouette, but have been on the fence about the software upgrade, I want to tell you that it's DEFINITELY worth it!

The possibilities are endless with this. Two of my favorite features are the new rulers and guides. I'm a Photoshop and PSE girl at heart, so these make me feel right at home. Other cool features include the ability to convert shapes into rhinestone patterns, the ability to convert shapes into sketch patterns {for use with those AWESOMESAUCE Sketch Pens}, and so much more!

You can get your own deal on either a Silhouette Cameo package, Portrait Package or 40% off of the software. Click here to start shopping {be sure to use code MOPPING at checkout to get these deals}. Here's the deal deets:

1. The Silhouette CAMEO®, The Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software, the glitter collection sketch pens {AWESOMESAUCE}, and the metallic collection sketch pens for $269.99 ($94 in savings)
2. The Silhouette Portrait™, The Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software, the glitter collection sketch pens {AWESOMESAUCE}, and the metallic collection sketch pens for $129.99 ($114 in savings)
3. 40% off the Silhouette Studio® Designer Edition Software as mentioned above.

The software was perfect for this project because I wanted to keep the same graphic consistency for all of my party items. I created this Creeper face in PSE 11. By creating it over there, I can also use it for invitations, thank you notes and the party printables.

Since I used the designer edition, I opened my graphic in the Silhouette Studio with no problem. I traced it and then cut it out of black vinyl. EASY!

I found the green tumblers at DollarTree for a buck. I applied the vinyl directly to the cleaned surface of the tumbler.

Aren't they fun? Our little Endermen will love them.

Here are a few of my favorite Silhouette projects I've made:

Neglect your chores like me and don't miss a thing:

  5. Thank you for sharing!!! I was able to find these cups at our local dollar tree. I bought a sheet of black duck tape to make the face. Luckily the squares on the back of the duck tape worked great with the block design of Minecraft!!! I also bought 1/2" vinyl letters and put each child's name on the other side the cups since they will be using them at the party! Thanks again for sharing!

  6. Love this idea for so many occasions! But I have a question...does the vinyl stay in place while washing? Or does a clear coat need to be put on top?
