The simple Valentine's decor on our mantel was done on a shoestring budget and with just three simple colors.
I've been excited to show you guys the new decor up on the mantel! I totally went a different direction than my usual red and aqua...but I'm really liking it! I tried to combine graphic black and white patterns with touches of some glammy gold here and there.
Here's how I did it for next to nothing>>>
Not only are these simple, they took very little time to put together. If you need to stock up on Silhouette goodies, head over to silhouetteamerica.com to get 30% off of most products with promo code MOPPING.
I also created two black and white canvases with engineering prints that cost me less than $5 for both. What did we do before engineering prints? I can't get enough of them.
The heart with an arrow chalkboard print was created for a 21"x21" canvas...to be printed on a 24"x36" engineering print. If you'd like to see how I order these, see this post. If you'd like this print for yourself, click on the image below. Please note: this is a very large file because of its size.
I gave my hearth lantern a little lift with a wine box. The fact that it had the word 'kiss' on it meant it was Valentine's decor bound.
I just got a boat load of new wine boxes to play around with...lots of fun shapes and sizes. My brother is a wine salesman. This is good for all kinds of reasons. One being free wine boxes. The other...
And I made this little heart banner to hang from the mantel. I mixed some glitter and graphic scrapbook papers for this one. Click here for the full tutorial.

Happy LOVE Season!
Bow-chicka-bow-wow! Love it and love this black & white Valentine's mantel. I am going to Staples very soon to get some engineered prints for my daughter's big girl room makeover.
