My Vintage Eclectic Style

I love mixing and matching with design. As we get closer to finishing our kitchen update, I realize it's come into a style all its own: vintage eclectic. I've found some great pieces from Sauder furniture that I'd love to mix into the fun as well!
While the rest of our house has both vintage and eclectic touches everywhere, I think our kitchen embodies a good mix of both. We've been in a long re-styling process in here. I've kind of taken a hiatus of working on it for awhile and just have a few loose ends to tie up before I'm completely done.

One of our favorite spots is the kitchen island, which we expanded in this tutorial to add seating and more counter-space. It also has ample storage and provides the perfect place for prep work. The aqua color, spindle legs, beadboard and black hardware give it the vintage flare. The black top with the stainless trim gives it an eclectic touch. The accessories I used in here really help to mix the two styles even more.

Our cabinet hardware is still on backorder...which is why I only have one cabinet pull on the white cabinets right now. I can't wait to show you the whole she-bang when it's done!

Here's a before photo above. You can see how our style has definitely evolved.

If you are renting or don't have as much space for a long island, check out this great Mobile Kitchen Island from Sauder.

I love that this piece can go anywhere and do so much! Check out the storage area in the back...makes for a great overflow pantry or spice storage area.

One last piece in my kitchen that I'd like to improve a bit is my table set. I'd love to update it with new, colorful chairs like these X-Back Chairs, also from Sauder.
Aren't these fun? I love the colors.

What is your style? Do you enjoy mixing different ones as well? For more ideas on Vintage Eclectic Style, as well as others, check out the Sauder Pinterst Page.
