Mop It Up Mondays #15

What a wild & crazy week! I was able to head up to Dallas and hug a couple of friends' necks on Thursday. And then Friday night, I participated in my first Relay for Life as a survivor. What a humbling and amazing experience. I barely made it through the Survivor Lap without crying. It was a wonderful event and I can't wait to go bigger & better in it next year!

Erin from My Very Educated Mother shared a great tutorial for her beautiful cake flowers made from marshmallows...WOW! Even I could {probably} pull these off. Well, done, Erin!

Jelli, from Jellibean Journals, had me at One Bowl Birthday Cake. She uses a wonderful Hershey's recipe to create this beauty! Sounds delish, Jelli!

We've been angry for the birds for a few years now. This Angry Birds Birthday Party has my seven year-old planning his September party already! You'll have to check out how Shannon, of Sew Sweet Cottage, put this awesome party together. They even have a custom bird catapult!!

Sisters-in-law Bonnie & Trish, at Uncommon Designs, pulled a great party out of their vault to share with us! This is perfect for this week: A Teacher Appreciation Ice Cream Social! FUN!

This is only one of three Mug Rugs in the post linked up from Saltwater Quilts. They are each so beautiful! And her blog makes me feel like I'm at the beach.

When I first saw this link up last week, I wasn't sure what in the world it was! The Brady Girls, from Cookin' Up Good Times, did a fabulous job of explaining their "Wall-O-Water" gadgets for giving your tomatoes a great start and long life. Who wouldn't want garden-fresh tomatoes a little longer?

Erika from My Road to Savings shared her wonderful method for Roasting a Whole Chicken. I adore how my house smells when I do this...and her recipe sounds wonderful. If you've never done this, you should give it a try!

Meg, from Revamp Homegoods, was inspired by Pottery Barn to create this knock-off version of their Eva Colored Glass Lamp. Is there anything more summery than a pretty clear-glasss lamp?

Julie at White Lights on Wednesday shared her Italian Lemon Drop Cookies. I love that she dips the cookies into the icing and then lets it drip off....um, wow. These look heavenly, Julie.
