Do you enjoy holiday entertaining? I love small things...like tea parties, luncheons, etc. This post has lots of fun ideas of those smaller affairs...with some easy, make-ahead tips and free printables, too. Check it all out below.

I just love a festive spread. And incorporating all of my fun vintage touches makes it even more special. It's probably not the norm to have old toy trucks all over a buffet table, but I love the touch of uniqueness that adds.
I started this luncheon table with a layer of burlap, topped by red and black buffalo-check wrapping paper to act as a runner (I love using wrapping paper as a runner...it's such a fun touch of pattern and color but doesn't break the budget). Then I used a couple of tiered servers to add height. I tried to balance the serving table by using a food stand that was the same height as my beverage server.
The old window with pom-pom garland just add another touch of vintage fun and anchors the entire look.

I also incorporated smaller, tent menu cards to label food on the table. They're available below, too.

And we can't forget scones at a luncheon or tea party, y'all. I made my blueberry scones (they have a glaze with Bigelow Tea in them that can make them even more special) and then also incorporated some pumpkin scones from a local bakery. Using a couple of homemade items and then several store-bought items makes it so much easier on the hostess...but still lends a very homemade touch. I threw in some strawberries for good measure. I was feeling a bit like we were going into carb-overload.

I think the cupcakes are my fave. I grabbed some red velvet ones from Walmart's bakery area. I added the miniature candy canes to make each cupcake look like a tea cup...perfect for a luncheon or tea party this time of year.

Aren't they adorable?

And what's a luncheon without mini quiches and cucumber tea sandwiches? These are always the first to disappear. I love tea sandwiches...they feel so fancy, even though they're easy to put together.

The celery with bacon spread was delicious. It was simple, too. I used a chive and onion cream cheese blend and then added bacon pieces to it. I spread the mixture on celery for another savory option.

I love the holidays and any chance I get to use my special Christmas dishes. My mom has given me a new place setting or serving piece every year since we got married. I always think of her when I get to use these. These dainty luncheon-sized plates were perfect for this. I made sure to have all finger foods to eliminate the need to wash silverware after the festivities.

And, it's not a luncheon or tea party without my favorite Bigelow Tea: Constant Comment. I've mentioned before that I was introduced to Bigelow's Constant Comment in high school. My mom started preparing it all the time...we always had it iced (hello, we're Texans!). But, in the winter, hot Constant Comment is such a treat...it is a bit spicy with hints of orange in it. Those flavors seem so holiday-ish to me. Even though I have the cider prepared with it also (recipe below), I think it's nice to set out some tea bags and have hot water available for those who want to enjoy a nice cup of tea. And I just had to use a truck to carry the tea bags.

I grab my Bigelow Constant Comment Tea at Walmart. They always have a good selection, including yummy seasonal blends like Pumpkin Spice and Salted Caramel.

I also used Bigelow Constant Comment Tea in my cider...and this recipe is definitely a new fave.

The red hots really put a fun kick in this drink...you can add even more if you like it spicier.

Again, another chance to use those once-a-year dishes I love so much. Although, I do use my spoon mugs at Valentine's, too, they're so festive for these kinds of events.
