Fall Hoop Art

This Fall Hoop Art is a fun little piece to add to your autumn decor. I have the complete tutorial and free printable pattern available for you, below.
Fall Hoop Art | Free printable pattern and instructions for this sweet autumn embroidery hoop art.
I've used the GRATEFUL term in a lot of projects on here lately (did you grab my free GRATEFUL banner from last week here?). I'm working to instill an attitude of gratitude in our home year round...but of course fall seems to always focus on that a bit more with the Thanksgiving holiday. This Fall Hoop Art is perfect for beginners...it only has two stitches and they're both basic ones. See how I'm starting to incorporate a lil' bit of embroidery some mornings before starting the day.

Handmade Jute Christmas Ornament

This post for a handmade jute Christmas ornament contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

If you're a crafter, you know it's never too early to start making your handmade Christmas ornaments. Today, I'm sharing a really sweet Handmade Jute Christmas Ornament that has a fun, vintage vibe. AND, this is a BIG month-long series that I've joined with 30 other blogging friends. There are LOADS of handmade Christmas ornament ideas for you in this post.

Handmade Jute Christmas Ornament | This vintage, farmhouse ornament is the perfect craft for your Christmas tree.
I had a hard time naming this ornament, y'all. It's technically made from upholstery webbing ribbon and felt...but that was a mouthful. Upholstery webbing is really just a bit of fancier jute ribbon, so that's what we're going with here. And you can really use any type of heavy woven ribbon here...burlap would even be cute. But, this jute upholstery webbing ribbon is so sturdy and holds up so well, that it's a great material for a handmade Christmas ornament. See the full tutorial below.

How to Make a Kitchen Sponge Holder

DIY Projects and High End Free Printables
This Kitchen Sponge Holder post and its shop have been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #ExperienceScrubDots #CollectiveBias

Make this simple kitchen sponge holder to keep your sponge off the countertop. It's a fun little project and makes a great housewarming gift, too (just gift with a pack of sponges!).

How to Make a Kitchen Sponge Holder | Easy, step-by-step tutorial. Give it a coat of a marine-grade sealant to make it super durable!

Collecting Vintage Books

DIY Projects and High End Free Printables
Collecting vintage books is pretty much my jam.
But I'm pretty specific on the color, y'all...

Collecting vintage books is a fun way to decorate on the cheap! Find all sorts of these at thrift shops...group by color for a great look!

I like blue books and I can not lie.
You other thrifters can't deny...
That when a book is blue, in that certain hue
And it fits well in your space,
You get THRILLED!

Okay, so that last part really didn't work out with the original lyrics, but it's probably not the best song to be quoting...I just couldn't help myself. I love blue books, but more specifically...aqua blue books. It's the easiest, cheapest thing to grab at a thrift store...and great to build on over time. See how collecting vintage books is helping me fill in my living room built-ins below.

Easy Quilted Trivets

This Easy Quilted Trivets post contains affiliate links. I
make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

I use trivets everywhere, y'all. I made these quilted trivets with a fun fall look to them. They're EASY in the sense that you need absolutely no quilting experience here (I'm definitely not a quilter!). See how fun these are to put together below.

Easy Quilted Trivets | These trivets or hot pads make the perfect hostess gifts...or lovely addition to your own home.
Not only do I use trivets everywhere (everywhere!), I like to give them as gifts, too. They're great to put a couple together for a simple hostess gift. My mom's hot pads were looking a little threadbare, so I made these to give her. She and I both like the larger sized ones...they're great for a 9x9 pan or casserole dish (or candle, or latte mug, or...or...or...the possibilities are endless!).
