My kids are excited about our plan to journal our way through the summer. This is such a fun activity for kiddos to do...and the journaling time lets mom and dad have a few minutes to themselves! Download your free cards below.

I've mentioned this before, but, I'm not a scrapbooker...at all. But I still want to capture those special moments...especially the ones that mean a lot to my kiddos. Having them join me in this is really important, too. Because seeing life through their eyes is pretty awesome! As you can see above, we hole punch and keep all of our cards on a binder ring. I can't wait to see all of the memories we accumulate at the end of the summer.

We plan to do our memory card journaling a couple of times a week or so...while enjoying some delicious International Delight Iced Coffee (and milk for my little guy!).

Hard at work...memory capturing!

In the summertime, getting to the coffeehouse isn't always easy with my peeps (and it costs me a whole lot more with them, too...HA!). I can let them write out their memory cards a couple of mornings a week and I can sit on my porch swing and enjoy my own iced coffee...while catching up on some social media feeds. It's a great way to take a quick ten minutes for myself on those lazy, hazy, crazy days! My International Delight Iced Coffee always makes those ten minutes pretty delicious. International Delight's site, Take Back 10, has lots of fun ideas to grab ten minutes for yourself in the midst of a hectic day. AND, coupons for delicious International Delight yumminess. Click here to check it all out.
After those ten or so minutes, we're off and running for the day! I tend to do most of my work in the late afternoons and then at night during the summer while my sons are home. Ten minutes in the morning are a little saving grace for this mom.

My tween takes these cards super seriously...he loves anything journal-ish. My little man also came up with the brilliant idea of drawing memories on the blank sides of his journal cards. I love that they love these! It's not a mandatory activity, but they've never turned it down so far. Doing it just a couple of times a week makes it seem special, too. And for us, any memory...all the way down to making brownies with mom or finding snails in the garden is card-worthy. It doesn't have to be a big thing. The best memories always seem to come from the smallest moments.

It's my favorite part of the day when we do these...
partly because I get my iced coffee fix!

There are four different styles to these cards. They print together on a letter-sized page.
Printing on card stock works the best for these. Just cut and write.

  4. I can see where this would be fun for the kids as long as it doesn't take too long when they deem it is time to be outside playing or swimming pr hiking --you get the picture. I think I will have to try the International Delight Iced Coffee--it sounds good!

  5. That is such a cute idea! When the kids were babies I tried scrapbooking, but it's been years since I've worked on it. This is such a cute way for them to capture their own memories.
