Looking for a fun back-to-school teacher gift?  This Notebook Paper Kitchen Towel was so easy to make and turned out super cute!

The free printable is available below, too.
Ummmm...so, yeah. I'm kind of in love with this one. I mean, you guys! Is there anything more presh than crafty notebook paper-resembling teacher towel? And, this one was ridiculously easy to create...I found the BEST Sharpie Fabric Markers that made this project a breeze! Check out the complete tutorial below>>>

I've also got the free printable cards below as well. I paired my towel with a rubber kitchen spatula to make it a fun cooking themed gift. I don't know about you, but I could never have enough of those spatula/scrapers {maybe I lick too many bowls!}.

How to Make a Notebook Paper Kitchen Towel

I ended up getting the ridiculously cool "Stained" By Sharpie Fabric Markers for my project and the multi-pack of fine tip Sharpies to label all of my kids' school supplies with. Seriously, is there such a thing as too many Sharpies?
  • I bought a pack of simple white flour sack cotton towels. These are available at any store with a housewares department, or grab flour sack towels here on Amazon
  • They worked perfectly with my Sharpie Fabric Markers
  • I pre-washed my towel before drawing my design on it. I worried it would shrink and change the design if I didn't pre-wash it.

Directions:

  • For me, the best way to get the towel pulled taught for an even design was to secure it with packing tape to my kitchen island countertop.
  • After testing it, I noticed I didn't have any bleed through from the markers, so I just taped it straight on to the counter.

  • Then, I used a heavy yardstick to draw my lines. I started with one red line up the left hand margin.
  • And then went over that with all of my blue lines, spaced about half an inch apart from each other. That was it!
  • I pulled the tape off the edges and just loved how it turned out!
This kiddo can't wait to give it to his new teacher this year!

Who else is ready to get cooking on an awesome school year?
