Valentine's Decor Home Tour

I just love Valentine's decor
I love the colors, the sentiment, and just adding a little love here and there.

There are some holidays that I flat out don't decorate for. But Valentine's just tugs at my heart...no pun intended. Of course, I swoon over red and aqua on a daily basis, so this just gives me an excuse to pull a bit more out.

I have to say, this is one of my favorite spots right now...it's in the entry way. And just look at my sweet boy with his puppers! One simple and super cheap way I change up my decor is chalkboards. I know I probably have a few more than the average household, but they're so easy to decorate with. If they ever go out of style, I'll go with them {and if they already are, don't tell me...if loving chalkboards is wrong, I don't want to be right}.

I'm giving a video tutorial {yikes!} on the trick I used to hand-chalk the above one...that *should* be live later this week.

I made a simple sign with my Silhouette for the entry way table as well. I love the gold vinyl on the stained wood.

I showed you all my Black, White & Gold Valentine's Mantel a couple of weeks ago.

Loving this simple chalkboard engineering print with the heart and arrow. For more details on it (it's a free download), click here. Love those two kids, too!

And I really am happy about this glittery and graphic heart garland. I went a bit out of my aqua and red box with this, but I love how it turned out. To see how I made it (and download the free cut file), click here.

I dressed up some Dollar Tree votives to sit on the mantel. I just used some gold vinyl that I cut hearts out of with my Silhouette.

Back in my breakfast room, it's my usual color scheme of aqua and red. To see how I set up the simple coffee bar on the buffet, click here

I found the sweetest printable over at The Graphics Fairy to hang over the coffee bar. I enlarged it a bit and framed it up. I love keeping something seasonal, yet vintage, in this spot.

And my hot cocoa mugs (that are actually a Christmas decor item) do double duty as Valentine's decor. I'm still in love with these things. My husband bought them for me at Starbucks...they are very much sold out now. :(

I added some thrifted cookie cutters under a thrifted cheese dome.
~XOXOXO~

To the right of my buffet hangs my "love you more than" sign that I created here.

On the shelf above the microwave, I added some simple touches. I made another heart garland with more gold glittered cardstock...and this time added some white glittered cardstock, too. I think the white glittered hearts look nice with the little white glittered cherubs. Some heart cookie cutters, a gold arrow cut with the Silhouette, and the 'Love is a Many Spendored Thing' chalkboard printable finish this area out. This chalkboard printable was from Kristin at Yellow Bliss Road.

And then finishing things up is my kitchen's Chalkboard Backpack Station with the lyrics to "One Thing Remains" from Jesus Culture chalked on it.

I also created a free printable version of this below.

Thanks for popping by! Happy Heart Season.

Neglect your chores like me and don't miss a thing:
