These Marshmallow Snowman Treats were easy to put together for a quick party with friends.
Is there anything better than fun Christmas recipes?
#KraftEssentials

My youngest has been invited to a holiday movie party at a friend's house to kick off the holiday season. They get to wear their jammies, have a {just-for-fun} pillow fight and watch a fun holiday flick together! Each child was asked to bring a holiday treat to share with friends. After chatting about it, we thought creating a marshmallow kabob would be cute...then we kept thinking and came up with marshmallow snowmen! Aren't they so fun? I just love easy dessert recipes.

We made a quick trip to our local Walmart to grab our ingredients {honestly, I usually have most of these items on hand}. I was so excited to find these Kraft Jet-Puffed StackerMallows...they were perfect for the hat brims for our snow friends! We also used regular Jet-Puffed Marshmallows, Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate {I used two boxes} and Baker's Coconut for the bed of snow our friends rested on. I also grabbed some fruit leather to use as scarves. I already had some simple colored icing on hand for their noses.

We were super happy with how our snowmen came out!
Don't they look so happy?

We started by taking one Jet-Puffed Marshmallow and one StackerMallow and put them onto a short wooden skewer {when serving, make sure parents are aware that there are skewers holding these treats together}. I dabbed some melted Baker's chocolate in between the two marshmallows to hold them together.

Then I used more of the Baker's chocolate {melted according to package directions} to coat both pieces together, forming the top hat. I recommend first setting on a rack to let the excess chocolate drip off. Before they set up, move them to wax paper so they don't stick to the rack. You can pop them in the refrigerator to quicken the hardening process.

Prepare a nice "backdrop" for the snowmen with a bed of snow...aka Baker's sweetened coconut flakes.

After the chocolate is hardened on the hats, you can assemble your friends:
1. Skewer three Jet-Puffed Marshmallows under the top hat for your snowman's body.
2. Stretch your fruit leather a bit {after cutting it to size} and wrap it around your snowman's neck.
3. Use more of the chocolate to dab on "coal" eyes and mouth...I used the end of another skewer, but a toothpick would work well, too.
4. Use icing {can color it with food coloring} to draw on a carrot nose.

I also grabbed a box of mocha-flavored Maxwell House K-Cups to bring as a hostess gift for the mom of our party-thrower {and for all of the moms to enjoy at the party}! Our friends just got a new Keurig, so this was the perfect little something! :)

It's a winter wonderland on a platter!
Easy dessert recipes make the holidays that much more enjoyable and less stressful.
