Back to School Dinner Idea: Grilled Cheese on Biscuits

Need a quick back to school dinner idea?
These grilled cheese biscuit sandwiches are
the perfect meal for those busy nights.

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches made with Grands! biscuits. This recipe put an Italian spin on the traditional grilled cheese...using mozzarella and pesto and marinara dipping sauces.
I was thrilled to get to play around and use one of the Pillsbury Grands Biscuits recipes and put my own spin on it. The Pillsbury site has a list of awesome {and easy} recipes that make life a little easier on the hectic days. These grilled cheese sandwiches were made on Grands biscuits! I gave them a little Italian touch, too.

This post is just getting started. Please click through to read it all>>>

Have you ever tried Pillsbury Grands Biscuits in a recipe? They were so fun to use and my family loved them. Click here to download the Pillsbury Recipe Booklet. And let me know in the comments which recipe you'd most like to try {they ALL look yummy}!

If you're like me, once school starts up, the weekly schedule always looks like the above {and that doesn't even include work stuff...that's purely family obligations}. Sometimes it's hard to find time to put together a meal for my family when things are cray-cray.

These Grands! Grilled Cheese Sandwiches are the perfect quick fix meal when the schedule gets a little busy. To see the full recipe on the Pillsbury site, click here. Below you can see the spin I put on them.

Start with flattening your Grands Biscuits to a pancake size.

Grill your biscuits on an oiled skillet, both sides take about 2-4 minutes each. I used Mozzarella cheese on ours. I wanted a fun Italian flair to them. Add your cheese slices and top with another {already pre-grilled} biscuit. Cook until the cheese melts.

To continue the Italian spin on these, I served them with store bought pesto and marinara dipping sauces. They were DELICIOUS!!
