DIY Biscuits & Gravy Cutting Board Sign

I fixed up a thrift store cutting board into a fun sign with vinyl. I used my Silhouette machine and a little southern sass.

Around these parts, telling someone you love them more than biscuits and gravy is the real deal. That's serious commitment right there. And I'm kind of in love with this new little sign that popped right out of the Silhouette machine {in a manner of speaking}.

Brown Sugar Bacon Smokies

These easy appetizers are perfect for a holiday party...
or even for Christmas or New Year's Day brunch.

I feel like this dish was a pioneer in the whole sweet/salty phenomenon. I first had it about ten years ago at a friend's house and was hooked. I remember going home and Googling it with no luck...we're talking pre-Pinterest days, people. Dark ages.

So I called the hostess and {ever so painstakingly} wrote down the recipe. Yep. Pen to paper. Weird, huh?

Amazingly, I still have that same piece of paper {ten years of greasy bacon stains and all}. I still work from it when I make this...although I don't know why. It is only three ingredients.

Merry Christmas!

Hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season! I'm taking a couple of days to hang out with the family and enjoy Christmas and all of the awesomeness it brings.

Hoping you're able to enjoy this special time of the year as well. Thank you all for being such sweet friends. I appreciate you all. Season's Greetings to you and yours!

Red and Green Bark

Looking for an easy, last minute holiday recipe that makes the perfect gift? This festive bark can't be beat...tangy, sweet and salty! The perfect combination.

My mom always made "filler" candy for the Christmas goody tins she gave out every year when I was growing up. Usually filler consisted of an easy bark recipe, similar to this one. It was something that was very easy to make and didn't use a lot of ingredients...but could make a significant amount of "filler".

DIY Canvas from an Engineering Print

On our 10th day of Christmas fun,
I'm sharing a tutorial for creating a DIY Canvas from
an Engineering Print {with a free printable}.

This is a super simple project...easy for a little last minute holiday decor! And the technique can be used year-round with any type of print.

If you've never worked with engineering prints, get ready to be addicted. The possibilities are endless...from large black and white photo prints to a chalkboard printable...they're fantastic, y'all. And the best part? You can get a HUGE print {24"x36"} for less than four bucks. Score!

Pimento Cheese Dip

This Pimento Cheese Dip is the perfect party dish for the holidays. Oooey-gooey cheese and perfect pimentos are the perfect combination of deliciousness.

'Tis the season for lots of partying. I feel like I'm making a dish almost every day to bring to something. I decided to simplify this year and make easier dishes, to lighten my load in the kitchen {and in the sink}. This Pimento Cheese Dip is rich and fabulously cheesey {that's the best, no?}. It's hot and bubbly and will keep everyone coming back for more.

Reindeer Printables

On our eigth day of Christmas fun,
I'm sharing some fun free reindeer printables!

These Reindeer Printables are the
perfect addition to your holiday decor!
Free printables are an excellent way to decorate on a budget.

I'm such a reindeer silhouette kind of girl. In the neighborhood I grew up in, we had road signs with jumping deer silhouettes on them to warn cars of all the Bambis out and about. Around the holidays, someone would always take red dots and adorn the noses on all of those signs. It was {probably} illegal, but hilarious and cheerful, nonetheless.

Orange Pecan Overnight Breakfast Bundt

On our seventh day of Christmas fun,
I'm sharing the perfect Christmas Brunch Recipe:
Orange Pecan Overnight Breakfast Bundt.

This breakfast ring is assembled the night before and baked in the morning. It's a time saver and perfect for Christmas morning when you don't want to be in the kitchen cooking forever.

This Orange Pecan Overnight Breakfast Bundt will be the perfect addition to your brunchy yumminess on Christmas or any day. Why spend the whole day in the kitchen when you can be hanging out with those you love?

This recipe was modified from one found in the Southern Living Christmas Cookbook.

This DIY Vintage Christmas Sign is a fun addition to our holiday decor!
Check out the tutorial below, here on our fifth Day of Christmas fun!

I've always struggled with our mantle around the holidays. I've tried wreaths, mirrors and lots of other things...but nothing gave it the punch I was looking for. After enjoying my Pumpkin Patch sign for the fall, I decided to create one for the holidays, too.

Washi Tape Holiday Wreath and Free Printable Mini Banner

This post for a Washi Tape Holiday Wreath contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

I was a bit late to the Washi Tape craze. But once I jumped into the madness, I did so with both feet and a smile. It is seriously fun to work with. This Washi Tape wreath came together very quickly and without any special skills.

Washi Tape Wreath
I love decorating with non-traditional holiday color schemes...this black, white and red scheme is one of my favorites! Mixing the polka dot patterns from the tape and ribbon along with the little stripes on the banner and Baker's Twine really mixes things up here!

Holiday DIY Pallet Sign

For our second day in the Christmas series, I created a simple Holiday Pallet Sign using materials I had on hand. Working with pallets is a fun way to add to create low cost decor.

My husband and I were having lunch the other day and noticed a few abandoned pallets by the dumpster in the parking lot of the restaurant. My view is that if it's touching a dumpster, it's up for grabs. We picked the cleanest one and away we went.

Easy Holiday Appetizers: Shrimp Spring Rolls and Sesame Dipping Sauce

For the holidays, as part of a sponsored post for Collective Bias®,  I created an easy Sesame Dipping Sauce that is perfect to pair with SeaPak Shrimp Spring Rolls. They're easy holiday appetizers that taste fantastic. #PakTheParty

Easy Holiday Appetizers: Shrimp Spring Rolls with Sesame Dipping Sauce #PakTheParty #shop #cbias
Sometimes dinner party recipes seem so elaborate and time intensive. To make things easier on the holiday party end, I love to prepare easy holiday appetizers with convenience foods paired with homemade sauces for dipping. This particular sauce is inspired by our local Japanese Hibachi Restaurant...every time we go there, I feel like I need an excuse to try to copy their sauce {or pick it up and just drink it}.

Rosemary Shortbread Stars Recipe

This post for Rosemary Shortbread Stars contains affiliate links. I make a small portion when these links are used, at no additional cost to you.

These Rosemary Shortbread Stars are a delightful holiday cookie with a fragrant rosemary twist. The unexpected addition of rosemary adds so much dimension to a simple shortbread cookie. See how to make this recipe for Rosemary Shortbread Stars below.

Rosemary Shortbread
When I first tasted a shortbread cookie with rosemary, I thought, "Wow...this is a total grown up cookie". I loved the surprise of an herb in a cookie (it seemed so fancy and sophisticated). These Rosemary Shortbread Stars are perfect with a cup of hot tea or even left under the tree for Santa with a cup of milk. It'll be a nice change from all of the chocolate chip cookies everyone else decides to leave for him.
